After my mini rant about the poor sound of the Shelby cobra, it pleases me to say that the AMG and F100 sound incredible

The new photo mode pictures are definitely much better than the old patch versions

I'm still not ready to buy it yet, want to see if they can improve performance stability some more, but as somebody who likes my screenshotting, especially with cars, having some low res screens would have been infuriating.

I haven't crashed since the last patch, most of the stuttering is gone and my fps is up a little. I would say they're getting there.
Performance is better outside of the city for me, it tanks in the city and goes into full meltdown when anywhere near that oil refinery type place but generally is a lot better to play now.
I don't see why this needs such high specs considering it's not rocking super duper graphics. GoW looks better than this and doesn't need as much, though I guess it's a different game and there's a myriad of things in the background that require resources.
I've just bought a Mclaren 650s - what a car! Love how it just sticks to the road so well, really want a P1 next (only about 200k credits away from buying one).

Nope- was just me being ignorant to game development as a whole
I don't know if the graphics are THAT good in Forza that they require 10 series+ Nvidia cards to run at more than 30-40fps.

Yea, I'm optimistic.
Well the graphics are pretty darn nice, but the problem here isn't spec requirements at all. It's optimization. People with all ranges of hardware have had problems.

They aren't. All this game has are car models and beautiful skies. The shadows, water, distant trees and very bad pop-in are, frankly, quite pathetic.
Performance issues in this case have more to do with optimisation and the game being a UWP title. I hope so, at least.

Me too man, me too. Seems shadows and water are pathetic in pretty much every game I have ever played though.
I'm stuck at 30-40fps on my GTX 970 with most settings turned down, I had MUCH better looking graphics and performance from GTA V. I get they're two different games and it's unfair to do a direct comparison, but I'd have thought there was much more going on in GTA V at any given time than in Forza Horizon
Hopefully they can bring a patch out to address the weird performance issues out.
Really? There are games with great looking shadows and water IMO
Horizon 3 has some of the worse looking shadows I've seen, that jaggy mess which visibly updates as you drive through the rainforest looks awful...
It has some nice looking places and I wouldn't say it looks bad but most of the visual appeal comes from the cars and the skies.
