Forza Horizon 4

I'm on the board!!!!!

I literally haven't attempted to do PBs, I've gone through all of them to make sure I get 3* and left them at that, might have to give it a go.
 
Well, I did a Windows update today and now the game won't open at all. Flashes the startup screen in a window then closes after a few seconds.

Used to get that with sea of thieves and FM7, install a random thing from the Microsoft Store, it's some type of authentication issue.

Yeah I managed to fix it last night after ages, the Ultimate Add On's wasn't installed so installed that and it downloaded a load of cars - seems to be working now :)
 
Cant use Forza at all currently.

Appears to be an issue with drift pack add on (which I don't believe I ever requested or wanted to buy) wanting to download and install even while main installation is still downloading - the error with the add-on seems to halt main download so it looks like its a catch 22. grrrr

stopped Windows update, renamed SoftDist folder, restarted Windows Update and download works now - progress shouldn't be affected but you never know with MS hahaha

The annoying thing is that the Store seems to insist on it downloading Standard Edition and plain Forza Horizon 4 simultaneously, so its taking twice as long to download

If it wont start try this, it fixed Forza 7 with the same issue for me, go to services and make sure Windows Push To Install has started

Thanks bud, managed to fix it by removing the VIP pack and then re-installing it. Seems to be working fine now, though it's a lot more finicky with MSI Afterburner since the new update today.

Feel like a right wally. I decided I'd try to learn how to tune, spent AGES on my F1 GT's gearing and wondering why it felt so slow top end. Messed with the gears, did a run down the motorway, messed with the gears some more. Rinse and repeat for hours.

Decided it was good enough considering it could handle better. It wasn't until I went back to the Festival to change my wheels that I realised I was missing the turbo and intercooler upgrades so I was down by about 350-400odd BHP lol!

Now I've gotta redo it all again tomorrow, however, the car feels stupid quick and handles just how I'd like - a hint of oversteer when pushing it hard. Not good enough to beat V4NTOM's badass speed trap scores, but quick enough for X class racing :D
 
I've just bought the ultimate edition of this from Microsoft store, currently 25% off (£59.99). One problem, at home i'm on a rural metered connection (120gb per month) :(. So i'm going to have to bring my PC to my restaurant and use the unlimited connection there to download it as there's no way to download onto a portable drive etc lol. Damn! Oh well, i can wait for a while to play. I can download it onto my laptop too can't i?

It's tied to your MS account so as long as you're not trying to play on both, you'll be golden :)
 
Just had an absolute mare doing the Edinburgh Stockbridge street race, only won because the drivatars crashed into other cars Infront of me.
 
Is Horizon 3 still worth playing? Only recently upgraded PC enough to be able to play newer games.

3 wasn't bad, it was plagued by crappy performance for ages. I had horrible stuttering and slowdowns which eventually led me to leave the game. I tried it again about 4 months later and it was better but still not perfect so never bothered with it.

4 is just so good. I absolutely love blasting around in my McLaren!
