OK bad father of the year award goes to...me!

I got my son FH4 and a logitech steering wheel and peddle set only to find he has an incompatible GPU. What is the minimum GPU you would use to run this game please? Will see what I can get from the members market here.

What GPU has he got?

i would buy something like a GTX 970 (unless he uses a FreeSync monitor)
approx £100 and still very capable
or RX 580
 
he's got a Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti its his 1st rig that he built for christmas last year.

It won't run on a 560ti as it need directx level 11.2 as a minimum.

It wouldn't run on my hd5850 either.

Get a 1060 as they're not too expensive.
 
It isn't, it has a very limited feature set supported in dx12.

As I said it refused to run in my 5850, I put a 7870 in which was hardware level 11.2 and it worked. But due to issues I ended up with a 1060
 
Thanks chaps a friend has dug out a gtx 1080 that he is going to sell me for 100..I know lucky find.

He is currently playing it on my pc with GTX 770.

He has a logitech g920 does anyone know how to reverse with this steering wheel in automatic mode?

What a steal!

Anyone know the cheapest way to pick this up? Had a little go on a family members xbox today and fancy giving it a go on PC :)
 
does anyone here run the G920 logitech steering wheel and peddles? yesterday we plugged and played, today we have plugged in and only have the peddles and buttons, no steering wheel movement. Drivers are up to date. it ran excellently yesterday but today...nothing.

Absolute nightmare trying to reinstall the game after a fresh Windows 10 install.

I had the files stored on my other SSD, fresh install of Windows 10 and tried to point the MS Store installer to the other drive hoping it'd see the files and that'd be it. Not such joy. The folder the store uses is also locked down quite hard so trying to delete the other massive game I had in there (Gears Of War 4) was difficult. Ended up having to boot from a Live CD, nuking the entire folder, and now I'm trying to download the whole game + DLC again which is gonna take ages lol.

MS really need to sort their store out, I've had the exact same issues in the past. I've had it with FH3 where the download became became corrupted about 90% the way through, but I couldn't delete the files because they were protected and the uninstall option didn't work as it hadn't completed the download. Trying to re-download the game just plonked it back into the same folder and round in circles I went.

It's available on Xbox game pass (free 14 day trial) though I don't know if that gets you access to the PC version? Alternatively you can get it on CD keys.com for £28 or the Microsoft store for £32 if you'd prefer the official site.

Game Pass is good, there's cheap month passes for new accounts that are about £2-3 that gives you access to the base game.
 
I just got playing this on my Xbox One X and it pulled my save over from PC, thought I'd have to play it from start.
 
Im racking up the miles over on Fortune Island

ive got 3 stars in every speed zone and 3 stars in every danger zone
shame im not wining them lol

and ive completed all races including the Kraken etc
