another game added to the pile of shame never to play
I thought that but ended up having a quick go on it last night and ended up playing for a couple of hours. The setting is brilliant.another game added to the pile of shame never to play
Its great to have a game just to be able to pull the controller out and have some fun instead of having to setup the full sim rig. Mindless fun.i enjoyed FH1 on the xbox 360.... i havent played any since because i stopped buying racing games without VR.
i am going to try this one however as like you say, the setting, as well as i have not played that kind of racer in a long time now.
I didn't think there was that great a difference between Forza 4 and 5
I agree on the trendy teenage edgy festival vibe. That's my only sore point with the series in general.
I tried FH5 Briefly and really couldn't stand that stuff.
I'm tempted to get 4 for the Deck as on handheld it would fit in nicely with something on the TV, that I could ignore all that stuff
blimey 5 must be bad as 4 is cringing on that front
I wouldn't expect it to drop more on Steam. You might be able to get a key for the Microsoft Store version cheaper somewhere else, although maybe not now since a game being delisted usually causes prices to go up.The ultimate edition is currently around £16 on Steam, is it worth grabbing at that price or is it likely to drop even further as it gets closer to being delisted?
Thanks, I wasn't sure if they'd reduce it just to get as many sales as possible before it goes.I wouldn't expect it to drop more on Steam. I could never play Forza Horizon 5 very long. I found the characters and vibe to just be horrific. Maybe there is a good game in there, but the fact it just forgets about progression and gives you so much to start, and then I had to listen to the nonsense... Unplayable.
I'm still thinking about getting 4, but if the cringe is even close to 5 then I needn't. I played 3 which was tolerable.
bigmike20vt's cringe report above sufficiently put me off buying this. Was wavering with some FOMO effect going on since it is being de-listed, but after watching some youtube videos and seeing how juvenile and cringe inducing it appears to be I am able to overcome the FOMO just about, and £17 quid is just about my limit for "*** it, get in anyway", if I have to be dealing with cringe. I have so many other unplayed driving games as it is.
Don't tell anyone but I actually did just go **** it and bought it.4 is significantly better than 5 in terms of cringeness.
There also seems.to be less of an expanse. I've not managed to play much if it so far, but 5 just chucks everything at you within the 1st hour and over whelms you, then it keeps forcing new seasons on you and half of it doesn't make sense.
So far the 1st hour of 4 hasn't been like that ...
Kids liked it a lot though. I saw there were quite a lot of Youtube channels had gained large followings through FH4.It always comes across like the Devs are older, but think this is what "the kids" will like. I also never liked the constant DLC advertising in game but I guess if you buy the full set, that's done away with

I caved and bought it. Just wanted an arcade racer for the Legion Go. I'd considered The Crew Motorfest but it's impossible to buy a Ubisoft game and feel good about what you've done, so it was off the table.
