Foundation - TV Series (2021)

Ugh, doesn't sound like it's got any better then. I got about halfway through S1, though my memory is a little hazy. It moved far too slowly, and i'm not the kind of person who wants to see loads of pew-pew or stuff exploding every two minutes, quite the opposite, not an action fan, but even for what i'd call "serious scif-i" it was sending me to sleep.

I really wanted to like this, I think I came to it right after the Dune movie which seems like it didn't help. I haven't read either Dune or The Foundation series so came to both fresh.

Get bored of this now. Premise : Harry Sheldon created something to destroy empire... Results : 2 seasons of literally no answer on what that is other than going round in circles explaining it's gona be great.

well from what i read elsewhere foundation season 3 was all but greenlight to begin pre-production phase just prior to the strike action, but as of now silo season 2, foundation season 3, invasion season 3, for all mankind season 5 are either on temporally hold statues or shelved indefinitely until a decision is made after the strike has ended as to whether they will move forward or cancel. apple tv slow horses season 3 & 4 were shot back to back and being a uk production it should still go ahead for season 3 to air in few months time.

THe that bit where he punched that woman right in the face...

I really appreciate when a sci-fi show is very egalitarian and women can get beaten up too, thats sounds a bit :p odd.
Its actually really refreshing.

They all sounded like a bunch of South Londoners aswell so well deserved
Feels like they have bought out the worlds supply of Red/brown and terracotta Paint and cloth. to make everything in ep4

Watched the first 2 - is this supposed to be a comedy now ?

Also agree re the 2 young actors - but this appears to be the curse of sci fi/fantasy TV these days - this, The Rings of Power , The Witcher & especially, The Wheel of Time all suffer from the casting of young actors in key roles who seemingly have little talent and zero screen presence.

We should start referring to such people as "bus stop actors"

People who couldn't act like they were getting the bus

Well that was a slower one but mercifully low on the bad acting :P
(they still crop up and blow my immersion levels. I hate being from London and having to hear such bad London accent people acting so poorly)

At least the main story of series 2 has begun, i'm not sure how they will spin it.
I like the way they have dont "the voice" very bene gesserit.

I think i'm gonna try watching farscape again or something abit more funky....

Everyone giving up on this lol :p
episode 6 was a bit better still. Even the bad acting girls didnt seem to annoy me as much.
That NZ actress is pretty good, a lot of face on her face.

Still watching, but struggling a bit with it. It has good ideas, high production values and a couple of really good actors (not the girls). But it's just not a well planned out show.

Yes, this is definitely a thing these days. Actors are hired for these shows to tick the diversity boxes and not for their acting talent and suitability for the role. And it's really obvious. Not that I have any issue with diverse actors, just as long as they can act :p Bad acting utterly rips you out of your immersion.

Really enjoying it, getting better and better nice to have some non pew pew sci-fi.

Have to say the opening credits are bloody brilliant, look brilliant on a good TV.

I was two episodes behind so I’m all upto date now.

EXTREMELY bored of the Foundation stuff now and its characters. The mentalics story is just too slow.

As always the Empire storyline when we do get to it is brilliant still
