Foundation - TV Series (2021)

Oh they knocked it out the park this week! I haven't been fully convinced by the show but that episode is up there with some of my favourite sci-fi offerings (Expanse, BSG, TNG). Finally got to see the context for that Day scene they use in the promos and some great lines in this ep:

Day: "You’re projecting."
Hari: "Well, I am a hologram."

Demerzel to Day: "You're a sperm led by its waving flagellum mistaking its random motion for complexity"

Hober Mallow addressing Day: "Yesterday"

I'm guessing they didn't have the budget but the space combat scenes in general were lacking and given the build up through the show so far the Invictus should really have given a whole fleet a tough fight, though apparently the Shining Destiny had more advanced shields than the Invictus.

I got the invictus was just not reliant on navigators whatever they call it slip jumps, hyperspace, FTL... I can't remember lol. As a ship it was still advanced but not crazy, but yeah still weak. I guess Captain gay had to survive as he's probably gonna revolt soon enough.
 
Went to Lanzarote last year and toured the island noticed something was being filmed on the shore of a hollowed out Volcano, didn't know it was Foundation S2, just caught up now. Also visited the cactus garden shown in the series.

well they might make him it in this who knows but it makes a whole lot more sense the mule coming from infernus or Tenerife planet 2nd foundation, as he was the ruler of a world, using his manipulation of mental powers.. but honestly the books are really just reference for names now....
Unless he's got actor credits on IMDb or something cheesy.

Decent finale if some bits felt contrived but they've crammed/rushed a lot into the final couple of episodes which could have been done better over half of a proper length season.

I agree, there was a lot of good story there which could have been their own episodes or extended the season.
