Free Shipping for Loyal Forum Members

Firstly, i did`nt choose not to be at home, the nature of my job takes me away at a moments notice.
Secondly, a company that gives an option to collect, but fails to update their online service and thus causes a customer to make an unnecessary journey, is not one i would recommend or use. This was what i was annoyed with.

Are you saying that you were told to collect it, then when you got down to the depot they never had the parcel?

I did`nt speak to anyone. If you go their website http://www.hotviews.co.uk/2011/04/wwwdpdcoukcallingcard-dpd-uk-rearrange.html, you are given a choice to re-arrange delivery or collect from your nearest DPD depot( in my case Ilkeston). I choose to go 27/7/11 @ 10am. But i recieved no notification that the parcel had already been sent back to OCUK on Tuesday morning, hours before i went online. Have already spoken to OCUK and cancelled order, due to the fact i am going away again.
 
I have heard nothing from them at all. I followed all their directions. Surely, if it was not available, i should have been informed. When i explained all this to the woman at the depot, she did`nt know why and all she could do was apoligise for the misunderstanding. You would have thought, if an item was returned to sender, then when the "sorry we missed you" card number is enter, it would have been flagged, as unavailable. Sounds like the left hand not knowing what the right is doing.
 
Idleman has a point. I had a similar problem with them. Their site is absolutely useless and they returned it to sender (competitor).
When you ask them on their site to collect it confirms it on the site itself, you then go to depot and the ******* staff try to play it off as it being your fault. They then say that you can come back after a few days but you must call their ****** automated system which doesn't actually let you speak to a ****ing human if you don't navigate the numerous numbers correctly as they haven't left a calling card as they were too ****ing lazy to even visit my ****ing house - AS THEY ARE PAID TO! ****heads can't even be bothered to chuck it over the fence or leave it by the "chav zone"as they usually do :mad:

But anyway, their systems and sites just don't interact with each other - idleman is correct.

EDIT: Just re read my post. Can't believe I'm still so ****ed at something that happened months ago LOL :p
 
Free Delivery service going down the pan !

Just wondered if anyone else has noticed the free delivery service is getting worse and worse and it may not be down to the courier but OCUK.

I get the feeling they are giving priority to customers who pay for delivery over "loyal forum members" who get free delivery.

The last but two items I ordered sat in the warehouse queue for 48hrs. After 24hrs I sent webnotes and was twice assured it would be sent next day. It wasn't. It took 4 working days to arrive. Although I did get an apology about it.

However you can't really demand a refund on delivery costs as its free.

Then just ordered two more items. One by Royal Mail recorded and one by DX.
However its still sat in the warehouse queue but it was ordered Wednesday. Its in stock too.

So I sent another webnote yesterday and was told there is no problem with it and it will be delivered today. Yet its still sat in the warehouse queue. I imagine I won't get this now till Monday.

To be honest on the items I was not too bothered if it wasn't going to be delivered next day but what really annoyed me was being told its all fine and it will be delivered on a certain day only to find out its actually 3 days later.

It starting to put me off using OCUK as even though you get free delivery

If I had not complained it would have sat there in the warehouse queue going nowhere.

Will think twice before using the free service again !

Hey i was wondering if a mod could please help me my brother used this forum account to his account to get free delivery. But i want to have the free delivery on my account as its minessss grrrr anyway i can change it :(

Placed order wednesday afternoon, received order thursday all in good working condition, i was up and running by new mobo and cpu in 30 mins. :)

I did contact your customer service with my issue before posting here and the response was misleading and did not answer my query correctly.

I wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing a degradation to the free delivery service offered to forum members.

If you do not want people to know about the issues then do not let them happen in the first place!

I can assure you that the free delivery service is brilliant :D
The webnote system is absolutely **** as there is no way consistency. The S forums are much much better and I've always got my answers there.
In fact, yesterday I started a thread there and got my requests implemented within minutes and all the changes (loads and loads of them!) have all been dealt with swiftly :p
I'll bet you £10 that if you post in the CS section you will have all your stuff on tuesday :p Give OcUK another chance

I hope not its supposed to be delivered Monday so thats a tenner you owe me.

What is the point having the Webnote facility if its not going to be reliable ?
