Free Shipping for Loyal Forum Members

I've reached 100 posts today, been registered for 2 years and I thought i'd make use of it and order myself a new monitor however the free shipping option isn't working, have you stopped it?

thanks

OcUK were kind enough to give me DPD as a free delv courier rather than DS Secure, this is how amazing DPD is, their estimated slot was 9:47am-1047am this morning, I actually got my components @ exactly 9:47am on the dot, love DPD.

I agree, they really do offer an excellent service, although at the end of the day a lot depends on the final delivery driver, although my experiences have been similar to yours.

On a recent delivery, one driver even apologised to me for being 30 seconds too early!!

Some of the other courier companies could learn a lot from DPD, I reckon, and even the rain forest company seem to be using them more now, even for cheaper items.

Question about DX Secure. I've had something delivered from them before when someone was in and all was fine. But today a parcel was missed because I was at Uni all day. This is where the problem started.

I couldn't ring during the day because it wanted the code off the card they left, which was 100 miles away. When I got home at 7pm I read the card to see that unless I contact them by 6pm they won't bother trying to deliver the parcel tomorrow.

Add to that, I can't go and collect it from a depot as they don't offer that and it takes 48 hours for it to be moved to a "collection point"?

I mean come on, are DX Secure trying to make it as hard as possible for people who are busy during the day to get their parcels? I just don't know what i'm expected to do - I have time (a small window in the morning, by sheer luck) to go get it tomorrow but seemingly they won't let me, I could try redelivery and hope it comes in that window but it looks like i've missed that as well.

Strikes me that they don't seem to have any idea how to run a courier business with ideas like this. With DPD (and dare I say it, even CityLink) I could just pop to my local depot and get the parcel after work. No such luck with these guys.

I'll see what I can do on the phone tomorrow, but if there's no way of me getting hold of the parcel this week, I don't know what i'll do as i'm dreadfully busy 9-6 for the whole of the next.

Just got off the phone.

"Nope, too late for today"
"too busy, can't do it tomorrow"
"No, you can't collect"

So looks like it'll be Monday. I won't be using DX Secure again, and any attempts to force me to do so will mean I take my business elsewhere.

I don't even know what i'm going to do re: having someone here to collect it, all the people that actually live here will be out so i'm not sure what will work regarding ID if I can find someone to sit in all day. Still, I guess that's my problem, as the guy on the phone sounded like he couldn't give less of a **** if he tried.

Used free delivery option for the first time today, could have used it before had i realised, but thats just my fault for being stupid.

Anyway, ordered at 1pm yesterday, had confirmation saying it would be shipped via DX Secure which worried me as i had always had DPD deliveries before which are excellent and have great tracking information, so was a bit concerned at this lot as some reviews werent great. But to be fair it arrived today at 9.30 in the morning.

Great service considering it cost nothing

The MSI 560ti 2 GB is superb as well.

Thanks OCUK
