im not happy..

i ordered 2 things yesterday for next day (DX Secure) , this morning the Tracking says it's (Now out for delivery) so i waited all day then at 5.45pm i contacted dx they said it'll come within 17min. so i waited 30min still nothing, so i contacted them again they said they will call the driver, but they couldn't get though to him and so they said they can't do anything about it...

it cost over £4 on phone calls

now the Tracking says Awaiting First Delivery

what can i do?

in my very limited knowledge of how these things work i would have thought thats something you could sort out very easily server side?

sounds like a very simple restriction in your databases to me, but im happy to be proved wrong

Just qualified :) - Need to post more and not lurk so much!
This makes things like buying one off fans an easy decision.

Again I'll ask - if we wish to change our delivery option, can it be subsidised to the value of the "free" shipping option?

For example:

DX Secure would cost £5.50 to deliver without the free delivery option. OcUK offer this as the "free delivery".

DPD would cost £8.30 without the free delivery option.

If I choose to change to DPD, could the additional cost now be £2.80 - the difference between the two.

OcUK would not be "losing out" on money by offering this, as they would be charging £5.50 for DX Secure delivery without my loyalty discount, and I am more than willing to pay the difference between delivery options.

That is a good idea, I will forward it on however I cannot make any promises. :)

Hi 5UB (or others!) - any further updates on the potential of this happening?

Cheers!

Just knowing that it's being thought about and investigated, rather than being ignored or instantly dismissed, is good :)

The number of threads popping up about DX Secure recently, it'd be nice to be able to have the choice based on which courier you personally find is better for you - I know everyone will no doubt have issues with at least 1 courier and none are perfect for everyone!

*grumbles quietly about royal fail*
I hate waiting all day for royal fail to not deliver or even threaten me with a "we tried" card.. blah.. *grumble grumble*

Well my order was despatched yesterday via DX Secure and the supplied consignment number doesn't work on DX's website, nor do the customer service people have any idea about it :).

Oh well, guess I'll have to sit around for another day hoping that royal fail pull their fingers out of their rears.. At least if they drop me a card, I can go around the corner to the depot (literally) and pick it up.. Stupid failmail..

Cungering up an old thread here but, Im getting a little fed up with the DX service, recently I have order a fair few items for different projects on behalf of friends who want to get in on the this week deals etc (should clarify this isn't for the free postage as I am normally ordering anyway) yet DX fail to be able to deliver that day and it ends up taking two days now this wouldnt be such an issue but often I am then not around the next day and that brings me to the next problem.

DX wont auto matically redeliver so then I have to call up and arrange a redelivery, since there is no collection option.

On the plus i do like that they deliver on a saturday or that they have the option to (for free) redeliver to another address in the area (ie your work) shame my work are not happy for that. :(

Anyone else finding the same faults as me? Never had that problem with DPD (love DPD)

I've not really had any issues with dx secure, only ever seem to have problems with royal fail, who seem to work on the principle of we'll "maybe" deliver it when we say we will.

Just hope my stuff arrives tomorrow, else I'm gonna be REALLY ticked off..
