You've also got to factor in the cost of a TV license when comparing the 2.

How can it go **** up? It's free and they haven't paid over the odds for the rights to any second rate sports. I'd also be surprised if it didn't appear on sky at some point, but not for the same reasons.
your always paying for it somewhere along the line. and yes in the direct sense its 'free' for us but not for ITV etc. There relying on advertising and what do they need for advertising to be effective ? customers, who currently has the largest HD customer base? sky. Why not tap this market?I don’t know tbh when I was 16 /17 working in a local family TV/Electrical store I was required to fill in a TV licence form whenever we sold a TV the customer had to sign it maybe it’s changed
