fried system !!!!!!!!

It's the case header, nothing untoward.

Edit: Saying that, maybe the on button is disconnected but I don't think it is, it's normally on the bottom row.

I was just curious why they aren't all plugged in. All the machines I've fixed/built have had the headers plugged in?

Thats pretty much normal if using the ASUS Quick Block :)

Is the "Quick Block" the Q Connector? If so, it doesn't look as if there is one there?

that has nothing to do with the power supply, the board or anything else has not been touched

ofc it has to do with the psu

the power from the psu goes into the mobo and powers the front panel on the

pc case if the power button is connected up wrong you will get no power

maybe a quick power on and off

My guess is when you fitted new PSU and when you was shoving the cables in the gap

under the board you knocked the front panel wires out and put them back in and didnt get

them right

But i thought you fitted the new PSU and that didnt work aswell ?

You could be unlucky and have 2 faulty PSU's can happen or you have missed something when fitting new PSU

I'm just trying to help not say you suck or anything

Hi,

After reading the many many posts in here I thought I better post something up to try and help.

The company that you have sent the PC to for repair are talking rubbish the fan cable shown in the picture is standard practice. The only way the CPU would overheat would be of the cooler completely failed. The other possible cause would be if the cooler and blown or possibly leaked and taken the card out too.

Just to clarify this is not a build fault definitely not after 18 months and just a standard hardware failure.

I know this thread is going to go on for a while so I will just let you know if you post in the support thread I will get the computer back for repair and replace anything in warranty. We will discuss details and what is going to happen in there and we will sort out the PC for you.

You can continue to chat with the guys in here no worries but I am willing to speak directly on the support forums if the guys here cannot help.

Take this mans help, and let a proper company diagnose it.

Is the 20+4pin connector inserted fully? It looks like the edge of the 20 pin is catching on the edge of the +4 pin?

computer failed when it had been working no problem on its own,ive never touched anything inside, was working one minute and powered down itself when no one was near it and its never worked since, and appreciate the help but im just hacked off with not having this working

was very happy with the system that i purchased as it ran any game i threw at it,ive been without this for at least 2 months and have no access to my gaming & dont want to badmouth anyone about this but just felt cheated when it packed in after 18 months,i know electronics pack in but ive had pcs for years and they have lasted longer than 18 months,i shopped around and was reccommended to try overclockers so u can hopefully see what my dissapointment has been
