fried system !!!!!!!!

computer was not touched when it happened the first time, was just powered on and left alone & i heard it powering down on its own

That was the old faulty PSU you had replaced

Still worth checking you didnt miss anything when fitting this new psu up

My last build i did i forgot to connect my pump upto the molex and the system

did the same as your problem, just quick blink and shutdown when i tried

powering it up.1st thing i did was check my connections which i found the pump connected it up and bam all is good

BTW if you can narrow down which bit is faulty you possibly (worth checking anyhow) have atleast a 2 year warranty with the manufacturer for that part - not quite sure how it works with pre-builds OcUK may still deal with the warranty on individual parts for you.

I can think of a couple of reasons why you would NOT connect that fan header to the motherboard:

1. Motherboard might not be able to supply the required power to the pump. Amps on motherboard fan headers can be too low for pumps.

2. Motherboard might try and regulate the speed of the "fan" not realising it's actually connected to a water pump. The water loop probably has it's own settings for speed, or has one set speed.

Even if your pump had failed, the CPU would have overheated and it's protection would have kicked in to stop it being fried.

So the shop has got the basics wrong.

It's the case header, nothing untoward.

Edit: Saying that, maybe the on button is disconnected but I don't think it is, it's normally on the bottom row.
