Only just watched the latest episode, and therein lies why this season has sucked so far, there was either going to be a bad explanation as to why he couldn't go back or the easier, stupid and more obvious "you've been home the whole time" explanation. Problem really is that his reasoning for assuming he wasn't home was always, well, crap. I was erased so here the timeline is different because you don't remember me. Either way, too much "lets rewrite everything for the sake of shaking it up" thinking for this season rather than just, you know, having a good idea in the first place.

Considering the worlds are now linked, and the shapeshifters are such a threat, both the lack of obvious interaction with the sides, and the lack of going after the shapeshifters is, irksome. Surely with them both distrustful of the other side and needing to work together they would have a joint command type thing going on.

Ah right now I get it thanks! Yea the season has only really got going in the last 5 or so, and it was pretty clear that this was his timeline all along. Looking at the preview which goes back to a S1 episode involving DRJ doing experiments etc, it's clear to me that thats how the season is now focused, Lincoln & Walter both seem to have episodes involving the other side too according to press releases, so basically leading up to the confrontation with DRJ...

Also the end titles are The End Part 1 & 2, sounds ominous for a S5, but they could be edging their bets just in case it real is the end.

Well we already know it is since it's all about RDJ & his dastardly plans, obviously he didn't get to fulfil those plans in S1 timeline so now we get to see what it was he's trying to do, and just how many shapeshifters he has on either side.

I actually enjoyed the episode tbh, so glad there isn't going to be a break till the end, it's time to get serious!

Also ratings up which is always a good thing when sailing so close to the cancelation-wind! :(
 
I think they should give season 4 a subtitle- "Poor Lincoln". Got to give him credit though, he doesn't give up, friendzoned by Olivia, he just goes to an alternate universe and tries it on with a different version of her!


I thought the last 2 episodes were pretty good. Probably for the best that they pushed Peter/Olivia to the background for the time being. Progressing quite well imo.
 
What a good story line. Did I miss an episode or am I right in thinking this has sprung out of nowhere?

I was checking the numbers but they followed.
I even watched the end of the last one to make sure I hadn't missed something.
Walter will probably wake up and it was a dream.

Episode 19 is set aside for a different take on Fringe, has been since season 2's Brown Betty episode, then again in the animated part in S3E19!

I enjoyed it, and Josh Jackson said it does give an insight to where they will go *if* they get a S5. :)

So next one is back to 'normal'?
 
Apparently today (27th) is when we find out whether they get the go ahead for a 5th season. Which is supposed to be the last season set in the future at 13 episodes long. Fingers crossed they get a new season or sci-fi is officially dead!

I had expected 13 but slightly hoped they'd go all out with a full season but I'll take 13 episodes.

The last 3 of this season are supposed to be action packed so looking forward to those! :)
