Fritz Chess Benchmark/Super PI Thread 2010

Setter,Davyboy,

Just got it all working last night and this thing flies even at stock.;) Just installing programs and will make an image of the system to my windows home server then I will get clocking it.:D

I like to have a comparison of stock benchies against clocked benchies as a point of reference.
 
You're right mate, they are pretty quick at stock.

It's always good to do what you're doing though, just so you actually notice the benefits from your overclock..

i5 750@4219MHz

May try again in a bit, managed 4.3GHz and got a 9.78 second PI run but kept hard locking on Fritz!
 
think i have got all the correct info here. dont know what the scores mean so probs not great but heyho

Here is a sub 9 second Super Pi 1M run I did last year with my chip at 4.61GHz.

I was wondering if anyone could answer this question I have, basically what it is, when I tested my missus' chip on my UD5 I was able to clock it up to 4.6GHz without to much trouble at all, but last night when I was doing those benches, I couldn't get it past 4.4GHz for some reason.

Her rig has a UD5 as well, but what I was wondering was, could it be possible for some boards to clock better than others, you know how each processor is different, does the same thing apply to motherboards?

I think these i7's are cursed, The first day I built mine up it went to 4.4GHz very easily, If I'd have tweaked it as much as I have done in the following weeks/months since then, then maybe I'd have gotten more than that too, as I pretty much just chucked 4.4GHz at it and it worked and since then it's taken lots more tweaking/effort just to get 4/4.2GHz. :confused: & :mad:

Maybe they wear out quick. :eek:

You should be showing those with i7 920 or above CPU's with turbo mode on as at that speed, so I have turbo mode on and I get 4.2Ghz, all cores runs at that speed. It's misleading the benchmark scores when you don't display the correct frequency.
