It takes a while for oil to get from the ground to a fuel station

You also don't have to pass it on if people are willing to pay it or competition in the area is low.

True but its just silly to cling onto your original supply cost when pricing.

Despite the price of oil being so low prices in my 'manor' from Shell and the BP that I never use have stayed resolutely above £1 a litre @ 101.9p. Only the local Sainsburys has it for under a pound. Last week the price went UP by a penny for a few days!

Surely that is still a massive 40p+ decline from its peak. Thats from a $60+ decline in oil.

You can't really expect much from a further $10 decline in oil.
