Fuji X Series

They really do need to allow for Fujifilm film simulation profiles to be adjustable when processing raw files. I no longer have my XT2, but have gone back to processing some old images on the latest install of PS/ACR and it still isn't a thing. Right next to them is modern presets which are free from Adobe that are strength adjustable on sliders. If this was a thing, I'd be half tempted to buy back into fujifilm just for adjustable classic chrome and provia. The latest wr 23/1.4 and 56/1.2 look great.

I disagree. The point of the Film Sims is that they are colour profiles baked into the image, they are not presets that are applied on top of an image.
I guess if one really wanted this then you could load two image layers into PS and have the Film Simulation one on top and adjust the opacity of that layer to suit. This still begs the question as to what image layer do you have as your base? The Provia/Standard one?

I realise that editing the raw with the fuji presets won't perfectly match the in camera presets, however it would be nice to have the adustability when for instance you want to retain a more natural look and tweak from there. Any preset which isn't adjustable in strength seems to always be at a disadvantage to one that is, as the preset that isn't adjustable won't work in nearly as many scenarios. Many don't work at all unless they are outside of very specific styles/looks and even then they still view as highly stylized (if this makes sense).

£1799 I reckon.

It is a big hike from the V but the V got silly in price going up afterwards. Fuji want to capitalise on this so offering IBIS and 40MP sensor may appease some.
The Ricoh GR4 won't be cheap either.
My simplfied goal is an iPhone / RX100 for video and X100 or Ricoh for family snaps and getting back into photography with a simple setup.
I had a GR3 but sold that recently.

I rented this lens last year for a trip to Lapland, loved it, and have craved it ever since. So with a return visit on the cards I bought it.

The AF is noisy making it unusable for video (unless using an off-camera mic), and it lacks weather sealing, but there’s just something about the images it produces that I can’t describe or replicate.

I’ll be using this in snow - any recommendations for a cover to keep the worst of the weather off it and the camera? I used my old X-T200 and this lens last year in similar conditions without a cover and it was okay, but I’ll be going off the beaten track more this time and could probably do with being a bit more careful.

It is a stellar lens, along with the 33mm 1.4 also.

As for covers I can’t help with that as I’ve never bothered with them even if the gear I’m using isn’t weather sealed.
