Picked up an XT5 with 16-80mm standard lens brand new for under £1000. Not sure whether to sell my XT20 or keep it as a lightweight backup now.

Wow where from?!
That’s a bargain.
Despite my sage advice above, I’m going to ask for opinions on a lens
Has anyone used the Samyang 12mm f/2.0? One has come up locally for about half rrp and I might snap it up. The only use case I have for it is shooting the aurora next month if I get clear skies.
Manual. Didn’t realise there was an AF one! I’m quite happy with manual lenses, especially wide ones. The manual one or the AF one?
Really like your style. Thanks for the samples.
Is it the MF version? It’s an alright lens but when picked up for the right price it does represent great value for money. For me, it’s pretty much the worst ultra wide angle offering for Fujifilm but that’s only because it’s up against some pretty stiff competition. I’d still rather have the 10-24mm or the Viltrox 13mm over the Samyang.Despite my sage advice above, I’m going to ask for opinions on a lens

I was keen on the Viltrox 13mm but at £400 I’m not sure it would give me £250 extra, which could go into the 35mm f/1.4 fund. I’m not a pixel peeper and tend to prefer the less polished look anyway (or at least that’s my excuse for being crap…). I’ll take a punt and see how it goes. Worst case scenario I should be able to move it on with no loss.Is it the MF version? It’s an alright lens but when picked up for the right price it does represent great value for money. But as I say, these lenses come with a premium and if the Samyang can be had for a good price (as you mention) then it’s always worth a try.

Maybe I've got a good copy, but mine's amazing and stands up fine next to my Fuji lenses (23 and 35 f1.4). And I hardly ever need to touch the focus ring.Manual. Didn’t realise there was an AF one! I’m quite happy with manual lenses, especially wide ones.
