Funny Stuff Idiots Tell You About Cars...

The tyres are the same size on your car. - Krap Fit Fitter. - Larger @ Rear to be accurate!

They run better on petrol - Fellow trucker chatting to me about the 16litre engine in the rented Scania V8 diesel truck I was driving!

The owner of a "Prestige" car dealership:

"We don't do M3's, the 330's offer the same performance and are 10 grand cheaper"

Well, if he'd said "real world performance" I'd be inclined to agree with him! - £10k buys a lot of whores. ;) :D

Is now a bad time to admit I think trucks generally look really, really cool?

Not in the same class - cartainly from the drivers seat.

getting back to a comment I made earlier, the top truck has 620BHP, this previous model has 2/3 of the power but did the same job!

silly moment,

me; "yea its a mazda 1.5"
mates bird; "ORLY - i didnt think they made engines in the middle numbers you know..?
Me; "what in odd and even numbers?"
mates bird; "yea"
me; "alright"

guy on primera owners club had a new stainless catback fitted, started chatting about 20bhp gains, necause "the guy (from the exhaust place) told him", and it felt loads better because he could now do 80mph in 2nd (2nd is to like 62mph). exhausts do not effect gearing! he took the hump because we explained this and hasnt been seen since.

a true 200+bhp cvh will have to of had a fair bit of cash thrown at it, not
"my mate dave tuned the boost up y0 tuning"
for starters the stock injectors wont see 200bhp, the turbo on the fiesta wont handle it either. so basically you will be looking at full efi conversion with larger injectors + larger turbo (usually t3 off a escort rst) and possibly some headwork with a decent mls head gasket.
O and mapping to suit.
not something your non car enthusiast would undertake.

please dont say any more

all Fezzy RST's came with the efi lumps from the factory, and stock injectors are quite happy with 200 horses, turbo will handle it (but struggles beyond.)

200 bhp in a frst is a mere chip actuator, cam and intercooler away

It could do 180mph...if you dropped it out of a plane. So they're sort of right :)
owners never seem to realise that the only way their car will do xxx mph is if it were straight down with gravity lending a helping hand.
:D

Me; wow, nice car, bet it goes like stink, engine packs a fair bit of meat too!
Dads mate; yup, it's a 7 litre v12 twin turbo
