Sorry i ment turn the whole cooler around.

If all this is true they should not be selling this board as i cant even run at stock without it overheating

Is there anyway you could send the board back and get the ud3p.

I think i see that thread aswell, i will have a look for it aswell.

I have the ud3p with my 8350 @4.8ghz but i had to put a fan on the front and back on the vrms as i never liked them going pass 80c.

With that 78lmt, there someone on ocn who hit 5ghz stable without throttling.

I just checked you previous thread Humax, it does seem apm has been left out as I suspected. It's a bummer as the 970a is a much better board and was cheaper.

Are you sure your board is a 990xa-ud3 as its ment to be blue, when yours is black.

I don't think OC sell that one but i have seen it for about 60 quid on another site

I think you get 7-14 days to return a item.

Without actually touching it, if you put your hand near to the heatsink can you feel it being hot/warm?
If it's cold then it would suggest the heat isn't being pulled away from the CPU effectively.

Should be most places, send them a message and state the motherboard is not fit for use as something is overheating.

I dont think its a fan problem.

Na, if there was an issue with the fan the metal of the heatsink would be really hot as the fan isn't cooling it. If your CPU is getting to 70ºC but the metal is cold then it seems like poor contact.
There's not like a bit of clear plastic on the bottom of the 212+ you need to remove or something is there?
