Hey is that Alan Wake game actually a proper 3d engine?

Looks more like a pre-rendered background type game, ala Syberia 1\2?

No?

Sorry for ignorance :), just looks a little too good.....

These have changed my opinion of DX10 somewhat.

 I thought they were real when I first looked at it.

I thought the top one was meant to be a crack at how much power it's going to use and thats the power station or something :p

they are running realtime

go on youtube and view the videos

running on quad core tho most of them

It's an overclocked quad core I believe, running at 3.5GHz. (edit - it's actually 3.73GHZ)
The developeres were at an Intel quad core show thing and they were talking about it and showing some one playing it (with debug mode on) and generating loads of weather effects and such like. I can't remember the link though, sorry :(

Grab these hi def vids though.

Found the link :)

I am sorely tempted to flog both my dual core Woodcrests next month and buy 2 quad core Clovertowns and an 8800GTX :)

Most 360 games have slowdown and aa issues.
