US: Game of Thrones Season 3 (contains spoilers)

Have they relaxed the rules about discussing shows we've downloaded illegally via the torrents ? as this isn't on in the UK until tonight.

Yep, there's a sticky at the top of this forum. Basically talk all you want but don't mention how you acquired the episodes. :)

PEOPLE SHOULD NOT GOOGLE ABOUT BERIC BEING RESURRECTED BY THOROS! THERE IS A MONUMENTAL SPOILER AROUND HIM! DO NOT DO IT!

Just a warning in case you guys talking gets people on the fire and ice wiki page for him

As mentioned already you really shouldn't google anything about this show. I can't remember what I googled, but I ended up spoiling the thingybob
:(

not everyone is downloading torrents :D

I watch it live ;) hbogo + vpn ftw, got family members in america who oblige me

Just a warning in case you guys

Awesome...thanks, for your non-spoiler spoiler basically.

Anyone Googling plot lines should expect to get spoilers. But the mere fact you even brought it up is a spoiler in itself. You do not need to tell people not to Google the show to avoid spoilers. At best you should have just said "Don't Google plot lines" rather than bloody point out the exact specific part of the episode.

Nice going :|

I've had to google for hours to fully understand what's going on having never read the books. I think today is the first time anybody said Roose Boltons name. When Jaimie said Lord bolton I was like who the flip is he.

I now realise he's the guy who has been by King Rob's side throughout the war thanks largely to the TV show wiki page (spoiler free if you've watched this weeks episode)

http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Roose_Bolton

It's only having read that that I can now place him in earlier episodes. To me he was just another one of robs men. Likewise what happened at harrenhall. I had no idea what I was supposed to think had happened. Thankfully I now understand it was occupied by Tywin and the lannisters before they left to defend Kings landing. The dead were not from (another) battle we didn't see and were in fact 200 northmen prisoners of war they killed rather than leave anybody behind to defend.

And the whole business of Ramsay Bolton holding Theon captive as well. Didn't have a clue who he was or that he was part of the force that got sent to Winterfell to take it back or why they were torturing him. and the way Theon confesses to him he killed the farmers boys and not the Stark boys is really stupid. at no point did he spit it out and say "I didn't kill the stark boys" and instead I had to watch it back several times to understand what he'd just told him sometimes the show really looses you if you haven't read the books.

If anyone is going to use wiki, make sure you use game of thrones wikii, and not the normal one, or the A song if ice and fire wiki!
AFAIK, the got wiki will only mention things that happen in the show, so will not spoil any upcoming plots for you.

You've lost me there. What arrangement ?

Jorah was spying on Dany for Robert/Varys early on in order to gain a pardon. In the books, Barristan knows about it, but it seems in the show, he doesn't as he mentions that he was not on the small counsel.

... Haven't you been paying attention at all? :p

Where did the TV show tell us that ??

Surely that's a spoiler ??

It was mentioned quite a few times in season one! There is a scene where Varys explicity tells Ned that Jorah is spying for them, and Ned replies with something like "so we are trusting the word of a traitor".

The Game of Thrones Wiki mentions it, and it doesn't have anything in it (or, at least, shouldn't have) that hasn't been in the TV show.

I'm pretty sure I remember Varys mentioning it, but the books and shows get blurred :)

[edit]A-ha! ^^
