US: Game of Thrones Season 3 (contains spoilers)

Just read the books, it's much easier :D

I do spend a lot of time explaining who is who when we discuss it in the office. I seem to have a knack for remembering the various storylines, who is where, who is who.

Shame I can't do that IRL. I must've offended a lot of people by not remembering them. I'm cack with names of people I've met.

saw this on the HBO facebook page and couldn't help but raise a smile

And this which I have now set as my new desktop background
It's not a spoiler so safe to click :) it's just against the forum rules to post images this wide without spoilering them.

It looks pretty good at if your desktop is 1920x1080 and you put the image as "centered" with a black background

I'm gonna look forward to re-watching every episode on bluray, just so i can follow the story better without the week gap of trying to remember every little detail!

still epic series though, and last episode was fairly good.

I thought this weeks episode was the best of the season so far(except for the handling of Stan The Man:mad:). I re-watched episode 4, and ended up skipping most of it tbh.

Sandor was great in this episode!

Yeah Tywin trolling Cersei was brilliant!.... But it could have been even sweeter;)

in that bit in the books, Tywin actually tries to marry Cersei toTheon Greyjoy:p

Shows how bad the scenes with Ros are, that they stand out so much:p...at least they seem to have listened to the fans after last season.

Next episode needs to be heavily focused on Jon and Mance!

Incredible to see Tyrion at the top....he has done nothing at all!

Jorah was spying on Dany for Robert/Varys early on in order to gain a pardon. In the books, Barristan knows about it, but it seems in the show, he doesn't as he mentions that he was not on the small counsel.

... Haven't you been paying attention at all? :p

In series 1 when Ned told Varys to cancel the plot to kill Dany as Robert was dying Sir Barristan was just behind him.

I'm pretty sure he mentioned Mormont by name.

Has Ramsay actually been introduced in this series?? I don't remember seeing him

Yes.

He was first seen in Series 2, when Theon was holding winterfell and some of Rob's men returned to take winterfell back. In the TV show Ramsay was part of that force. Theon's men of course mutinied and left him at Winterfell.

This continued onto Season 3, with Ramsay being the guy who befriended Theon to find out what he did with the 2 Stark Boys, only then to reveal himself as one of his captors and throw him right back in the torture chamber. As with so many characters however, they rarely mention him by name. Although you have seen Lord (Roose) Bolton tell Rob that his illegitimate son was looking for the Stark Boys.

Another reason you probably haven't twigged who he is is due to them changing his introduction vs the book.

Because in the book of course, He'd been captured by Theon, and was the one who came up with the whole idea of killing of the butcher's boys instead of the Stark Boys. Before them leaving to bring help, then coming back with the Bolton Forces and Killing all of the Iron Born and Rob's men and then burning winterfell to the ground. Then of course there was the whole necrophilia business and him being captured after swatching clothes with Reek and letting Theon think Ramsay was dead and they had captured Reek. The TV show missed all of this out and had one of Theon's own men mutiny instead of the whole grand appearance he did where he revealed himself as not being Reek at all.

Ah okay. I didn't realise that was Ramsay. Did it happen this way in the book? I read them a while ago but obviously I have forgotten :o
