US: Game of Thrones Season 3 (contains spoilers)

I expect things to move fairly slowly. The show spans a large geographical area for a start, let alone the number of characters and families etc that we're learning about. I don't find any of it particularly confusing or difficult to understand, bar remembering a few of the more obscure names where they have titles instead (eg: Jeor Mormont).

I don't imagine, without having read the books, that such a large scale story can just flit forward in time for the sake of getting a few fights in for the TV show.

When it comes down to it it's a series mixing drama fanasy and Political Intrigue mainly due to the last of those three it's going to ba a long run between action packed sequences and there of course will be a hell of a lot of talking!

Like I said a few times already, I don't mind a lot of talking and I said a few times that The West Wing is one of my all time favourite show, all they do on the West Wing is talk but their dialogue drives the story forward. Game of Thrones feels like it needs about 3 hours of screen time to do 3 minute of story. I am sure you guys who has read the book appreciate all the time they are taking and enjoying all the background stuff but that isn't fair, a TV show should be judge on its own merit, without relying the audience having to have read all the literature it is based on, if it does then it fails its first hurdle and loses the audience.

I will say it again, I don't need action packed sequence. However, could someone please move the story further along than it has for the past 6 hours?!

Hang on you liked the West Wing IMHO probably the most boring and stale political drama on the Planet and believe this is moving slowly DEAR LORD!

They can't win though, because I'd rather the story slowed down :)

I haven't read the books and I manage just fine

Yes, it hard to act oneself into the role when they've given you an entire 6 lines so far this series.

He seems to have taken on the role of Greatjon as well. Certainly nothing like the book Blackfish. No way would he be so much of a **** to Edmure!... And threatening him with violence if he doesn't marry the Frey girl:(

This thread is US pace isn't it? There was a new episode last night that is reviewed all over the internet.

Why no comments here?
