I had the same thought about Mr Griffiths, he would indeed have been perfect for the role.
Brian Blessed would be a laugh though.
heh
RIKKONs ALIVE??????

Wow, that episode was unbelievable! I'm a little disappointed in the way things turned out though. As someone said on another forum, you need a 'good' character or two to root for, the show is pointless otherwise. I just feel like they're killing off too many of the good or likeable characters, while the Lannisters have gone almost completely unscathed thus far. Hopefully that will change in the next series!
The series is merely being realistic: the bad win, and they win by stamping on the good. Good Triumphing is for fairy stories. This is what Martin is trying to show. There are still some "goodish" characters around, so now we have to see how they do, and how bad they have to become in order to do so.
wow! hopefully the next season the starks start to get some payback.
One thing I wasn't keen on was Grey Worm, Jorah and Daario basically taking guys apart left, right and center like they are playing a videogame...not really in the spirit of the series imo. It is an aspect that runs through the books, that no matter how good you are, being outnumbered is a major disadvantage.
What a terrible way to kill Greywind, it was the most upsetting part, I hope no more Direwolves end up getting killed.
I was like that after I read that part of the book. I thought I wouldn't read the next one as I couldn't believe what he'd done to the Starks. That lasted about a day until I realised that there are some other great characters and stories .Reading people reactions on Twitter/HBO forums etc is hilarious...."You have ruined my life"/"The writers are ****"/"I'll never watch it again"....brilliant! People are really angry.
