Games cancelled!

Thought that first yellow was really harsh, he's entitled to challenge for a ball, not like he went in with a foot or anything, just body. Hart wasn't at all bothered by it, ref was affected by the fans I think.

I think City have been far more dangerously aggressive with their tackles in all honesty but the ref seems to be just 'going with it', while Everton players might make the odd soft late tackle and they get booked.

Tough game to ref though given the atmosphere.

In isolation it was harsh but wasn't he given a final warning for a late aerial challenge earlier?

So you're view that my comment was biased is perfectly balanced, being a Utd fan?

nah more from a knowledge of the game.

Everton, away from home against a squad which could go top, costing upwards of 250million, whilst in a poor run of their own, score a goal look massively threatening whenever they go forward for the next 20mins, shock score another goal in a 16 piece passing move and then decide to contain City and preserve their lead. That's not being battered at all. Happy to help clear that up for you.

What does the cost of City's squad or Everton's poor form got to do with the run of the ball of today's game?

I missed the first couple of minutes so I didn't actually see Everton's first goal but they got their 2nd when City were down to 10 men as a result of a foul from Cahill.

The containing comment is pretty funny though. Everton didn't get out of their 18 yard box for most of the half and were relying on last ditch blocks and deflections to stop City scoring. And at least 1 of those was a clear handball from Nevill and should have been a penalty.

None of that is down to luck? You're just incredibly knowledgable not a dirty biased Manc :p

edit: and I suppose Everton's composed containment game worked well for City's goal just there? :o

brilliance.

Is it just me or is Balotelli a rather large waste of skin? Never seen him doing anything approaching a £25million (or whatever it was for him) player.

At least Berbatov turns it on every 8 games or so. :p

Not that I'm complaining - but it's funny they have two (Adebayor).
