Games you Bought and played Once

New Vegas
Dragon Age 2

Those 2 I played the previous games and really liked.

Borderlands
Bioshock

Fell for the hype.

Knights of the Old Republic
Batman AA

Got on the cheap from a Steam sale. Lots of hype, did not like at all.

Of course I could go back and try to replay em at some point.
Steam seems to be the cause of a lot of buyers remorse. :p

Battlefield 2

i played the demo to death, then bought the game and only played it once, and that was the map from the demo too

Fallout: New Vegas - Just not the same fun as Fallout 3, got bored very easily.

X2 - Installed it, played for 10-15 mins then uninstalled it, crap!

FarCry2 - Am gobsmacked they could even give that game the same title, utter garbage and monotonous

Thief: Deadly Shadows - Just never got into that game. uninstalled asap

Thief: Deadly Shadows - Just never got into that game. uninstalled asap

:(

You seriously need to reinstall asap! That's one of my 10 top games of all time.

Some of you are being really hard on the the X games, sure they have learning curve that makes climbing K2 look like Sunday morning stroll but once you learn how the game works and accept the pace of the game its very rewarding.

AVP

Bought it for £3 from PLAY thinking it was a bargain.

Played it once and havent picked up the enthusiasm to play it agaoin lol

I'm really surprised by a lot of the games coming up in this list. But then, I can't stand the Stalker games and everyone else seems to think they're God's gift to gaming :D

Red Alert 3
Fallout New Vegas
crysis warhead

Wish I could add dragon age 2 to the list, despite spending so much time into the first game

Loads yeah Mostly Steam Games on sale... install then think .. crap

Stalker is one that springs to mind the most 25 mins played and un-installed... its just crud. So over hyped by people - sure it might have been good 8 years ago or whatever

Bulletstorm was a real turkey for me, played it for around an hour then uninstalled it and filled it away with the rest of the junk games bought on impulse.

Loads... But recently(ish) there have been some notable examples:

Fallout New Vegas: buggy and really kind of boring. I'm not sure how I was able to persevere (and subsequently enjoy) Fallout 3 given how similar the two games are.

Dragon's Age: Origins: Big yawns here... Voice acting was terrible too.

Sins of a Solar Empire: This is my kind of game, but I haven't even bothered with it.

The cheap and plentiful supply of games has given rise to this situation, methinks. Or perhaps I'm just getting old.

osmos / braid / hitman blood money: too hard. i checked a few video walkthroughs but that completely ruins it. what's the point.... :o

audiosurf: fun for 10 minutes. meh. :/

grid: just awful. even though i got it for 3 quid odd in a steam sale, i still feel like i was robbed. :(

half life 1 / max payne 1&2. got these fairly recently but they're too dated for me to get into. maybe one day. :p

farcry 2 - awfull game -went straight on the naughty shelf

got about 88% way through the game and gave up.

im quite surprised of how many people have not played TF2 that long, iv'e played over 200 hours on this game, once you get into it it's great fun.

Metro 2033 i played for about an hour visually it was fantastic, but didn't pull me in.

Arma 2 - OA was okish completed 1-2 missions but got boored.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 - at first due to all the bugs and patches i only played about 1 hr of this game, but this week iv'e started playing again.

Just Cause 2 - played quite a lot of this game at first, blowing everything up, but it soon wares off, doing the same type of missions over and over "go to this base" blow everything up and take over " mission complete"

Yeah I gave TF2 a go a few months back... my games basically consisted of:-

Get Killed
Get Killed
Get Killed
Get Killed
Get Killed
Ragequit

:D

Homefront, bought, joined our server and died once (total time on the server was about 3 mins max). The wife called me downstairs for something and I had to leave. That was about 4 weeks ago and ive uninstalled it now. Best £20 ive ever spent.

Daikatana - didn't work properly

Stalin v Martians - great advertising on Steam, probably the worst game I have ever played.

I replay nearly all my games repeatedly and feel sorry for people who blast through a game ASAP and miss out on so much entertainment and extras and secrets and easter eggs and different ways of enjoying the same glorious set piece again and again.

hitman blood money: too hard.
The first actual lever (in the vinyard) is probably the hardest level in the game (well a lot harder than a starting level should be) and doesnt quite allow the exploartions and freedom of the later levels as you pretty much need a certain order of disguises to pull it off. I would recommend getting past this level for another go as the game is such a gem. If the gameplay does appeal to you then its worth getting past the brown first level.

I will also add Stalker:CoP. Was just very brown, bland and meh the first time I tried it. Didnt look the least bit interesting.
