Games you're playing, and games...

Dark Souls Remastered - Never played DS1 before and having recently finished Dark Souls 3 had an itching to play another souls game, decided to give it a go and instantly got me hooked, these games are just amazing in their world design.
Just managed to finish up Anor Londo acquired the Lordvessel, using the Claymore +15, did me well in DS3 so used the same trusty weapon :D Still got a few areas I need to go back to Catacombs, Demon Ruins, and just drained the New Londo Ruins

After this planning to go straight in to KCD2, loved the first one :)

Even though I've completed the game over 10 times and have a huge backlog of cool games - I started another run through of Elden Ring (and SOTET dlc). I blame all nightraine footage I keep watching

Hah! I've just started again myself. I'm 3.5hrs in and needing to git gud! :p

Managed to down a few minor bosses in the starting area, but that's about it.

I'm also playing Dragon Age Veilguard and the Dead Space remake in parallel.

Oh and I recently restarted Baldur's Gate 3 again too because I think it's awesome! :)

I'm just waiting for Split Fiction to land then I reckon I'll drop most things for a while to focus on that with my other half. It Takes Two is probably our favourite local coop game to date and we are hoping for more of the same.

I’ve just uninstalled kingdom come deliverance 1 because of that lock picking system, it’s literally impossible and I’m not wasting my time on it. It’s a shame because I like the feel of the rest of the game but when there’s a mechanic that’s simply broken it’s no fun, it looks like it’s similar in the second game too so I’m not even gonna bother with that.
It's not broken, just hard (also as it was a PC game, geared for a mouse) - Henry is an absolute zero, which is pretty cool imo, as you have to really train skills. It's hard to explain, but you just have to 'swoop' both sticks at a variable rate - paying attention to the resistance. There's an alternative mode iirc, it was added in the first patch, and is in Options somewhere - not sure what the difference is, as I used the original one.

Breaking lock picks still counts to levelling the skill iirc, so if you have the groshen to buy them, you could just keep trying with the view the picks will break; but you'll eventually level up.... or get the knack

Picking in 2 is a lot easier, and you only have to balance the right stick

agree the world is incredible and is why I preserved and pushed on, it feels like a proper old game with zero modern game sensibilities which sounds like it shouldn’t work or be fun, but it is, it’s the most fun (lockpocking aside) I’ve had in a game for a long time
It was a breath of fresh air imo, a game where you aren't starting as a highly skilled assassin, soldier or thief - you really do feel like the game throws you into the fire and walks off leaving you to get out off your own hard work!

It's a bit like Elden Ring in some respects - there are times that you'll go into something, and get your *** handed to you, and if you haven't saved - it can easily put you back over am hour (if just exploring). You go off, level up, find/steal/buy better gear, then try again... only to get beaten again lol.

I actually really like that you never really become an unstoppable force too - you can kit yourself out in the best knights armour, but if you take on too many foes, you'll end up retreating or getting snuffed. It's even harder in the second one imo - I've got fairly decent armour, but going up against several Cumans often results in having to leg it! I will often loose a few arrows or crossbow bolts into them, and retreat, then once a few have been offed - go in sword blazing.

I've just hit the second map in KCD2 now, and it's HUGE! Just riding about uncovering the south of the map, has eaten about 4 or 5 hours; and it's still lovely getting lost in the world, taking in the views and hearing the sounds of nature. The game looks so good imo - it just looks like a slice of heaven at times, the perfect Summers day.

Such a great game. Claymore 4 life! You must play the DLC as well, it's amazing.

I've just finished Dragon Age Veilguard. It was fairly decent. 7/10. Started getting a bit stale towards the end.

I'm playing on PC but have recently started a play through and wondered if the DLC would be worth picking up.
I liked from the ashes, and having mutt is useful unless they added it to the base game, I have been hate playing stalker 2 for a while, both on Xbox and cloud gaming the good thing is you can play kb+m on pc cloud so the aiming is less trash.

As soon as I restarted the game after buying the DLC the dog was with Teresa. She gave him to me. Cool to have him around! Just did Runt on my second go. He was my wall the first time I tried this game (noped out) and he was again here. Just went away and levelled up a bit more and equipped some better gear. Was intense but he went down eventually.

Same ! Kuttenberg actually feels alive and lived in. I didn’t beeline straight there but when I got there, wow. Best city since novigrad
Sadly it seems a decent chunk of the clouds to the west, cannot be cleared due to invisible walls - I expect this will be DLC areas later. I did come across some bloke who thought I was Satan, and had clearly burnt down a village and slaughtered everyone; all because he thought I'd make him a better dice player

Also, dropped nearly 10k on a few new bits of armour - Henry is now poor again, but at least I have inventory space :D

Niiiice. I just dropped 6grand on a new nag. I feel robbed.

Edit. I found a new “gun” too. Didn’t think there’d be more than one ! Found some scattershot with it !

I found a Nobel's horse, after bandits dispatched the owner - so took it to the nomads in the first area, but some of the horse prices are mad on the second map!

I didn't get on well with the guns, I found 5 and ammo in a 'sunken cart', but sold them off for a couple of grand
