Gaming keyboard..

I like the touch buttons... i have never had a problem with them not being responsive or not working. Just depend on what you prefer i spose... =/

I had the Saitek I and same thing happened the letter wore off the WASD, then i had a Razer Lycosa mirror which felt nice but was buggy as hell. Keys would just stop working, the lights turned off and on. Now i have the Saitek II and happy to say its just subtle improvements over the original and feels very familiar and easy to use (plus it changes colour w00t)

Get the sidewinder x6. Ive had logitech g15v1 and v2. 2x g11 (both had sticky keys), eclipes 1 and 2 and now the x6. The X6 is one of the few gaming keyboards thats actually nice to type on. has decent key action and travel. The newest razer one was good when i tried it too but x6 is cheaper:)

I like the razer lycosa.

Just get the non mirror finish one though (has a nice soft rubber on the keys which the mirror one lacks)

oh and the lycosa lacks any dedicated macro keys but you can macro anykey (or everysingle one if you're that way inclined :p) on the keyboard you like through the software linked to profiles for games/office apps.

Whilst I had considered something like that for my Media Centre (getting annoyed with the IR keyboard)

I wouldn't get a wireless keyboard/mouse for the desktop

I got keep a wired keyboard & mouse close by as well.....As there loads of times went the bluetooth fails to work like when installing windows and sometimes the bluetooth connection just drops for no reason and you need to plug a wired mouse in to be able to open the sofware to reconnect it :(

Another vote for this Keyboard, it's the one I use, and I find it really fantastic, key presses are really good as it has low profile keys, and they feel good on the fingers with the rubber finish.
Also have backlit keys which can either be all off, WASD on, or all on.
Plus the media keys in the corner are touch sensitive. Can also disable the Windows key with a simple key combo which can be handy in some games lol.

+1 for lycosa , i love mine , while it "clacks" instead of "thuds" like i wanted the action and responce and general look is great, also the backlight doesnt make you want to wear sun glasses unlike other keyboards..

That's assuming that I buy all of my games on steam, which I don't. I don't like those extra buttons, they're unnecessary, I don't want them, take them away.

huh?

They don't need to be steam games, you can do it on any shortcut

Logitech Illuminated Keyboard?

Great key response, has the media keys as well when you use the Fn key (easy enough with one hand) and the volume + mute controls by single press.

Looks sexy as well, not had any issues with ghosting either

Eclipse III is good, tho few issues like keys some keys died so got it rma now this one has a issue doing left shift and 9 to make ( as i have to now hold ls press 9 let got of shift while holding 9 down then let 9 off then it works. Tho sometime it works sometimes it doesnt. :(

Otherwise nice keyboard.
