Gang of boys who threw flour at disabled woman 'put under police protection for their safety'

My comment was a joke really, I find it funny you have the same posters talking about innocent until proven guilty in one thread then this they are already guilty apparently even though they have only been charged.

I would say the use of photographic or video evidence proves the guilt even without the need for a trial.

Not in the eyes of the court or the law which is all that matters apparently. :p Don't get me wrong I do agree with you, but the hypocrisy is strong with some. They take which ever view that will support their current stance on a subject.

When you have people defending little angels like this, you know your country has problems.

I know they did it, you know they did it, every poster here knows they did it, the internet knows they did it, every damn person knows they did it, they say photos don't lie.

Mike my friend, you welcome to construct a solid defence for these kids since they are "innocent until guilty" I be interested in what sort of defence you could construct? I love games like that myself.

Maybe they was having a nice little bike ride in the sun to go to the shop for their mums to bring eggs and flower for a nice sunday bake and out of no where for no reason, they trip over themselves, pelt the poor women with eggs from their sealed containers while throwing the flour at the same time all together and in the same swift movement they pose for photos while one little angel takes a photo at the right moment while these little angels smile!

Now you can accuse me of being a critic, but am open to ideas mate, what's their defence?

I think it's very obvious due to the photographic evidence backed up by eyewitness accounts plus they got history for doing the same thing in their neighbourhood.

Their sort of behaviour isn't really unique in this country for their age is it. I think we all know neighbourhoods with kid gangs like this who you gotta be careful around.

No hypocrisy in that.

This is why kids need to be taught respect the good old fashioned way, with a bloody good hiding. Kids don't know about consequences nowadays (because there are virtually none) so this is the kind of thing they do. When I was a kid I'd have been battered for doing something like this.

I don't agree they should be "battered", but I've no idea how we got to the point where kids do think they are entirely untouchable.

They aren't scared of police, they aren't scared of teachers, they aren't scared of their own parents. And then you have parents whinging that it will ruin their sons birthday. Pathetic.

My mum used to hit me with a stick, my Dad was more lenient.

Ok, so what your saying is if some one hasn't been convicted of a crime in a court of law it shouldn't held against them but in this case where some one hasn't been convicted of crime in a court of law it should be held against them and they are guilty................yeah doesn't sound like hypocrisy at all. :p

I reckon they are guilty, probably all are complete scumbags and i hope they get a decent sentence for once. You probably won't read this part though and will just go on a rant about the youth of today.

I would say there's a 99% chance it's terrible parenting.

Anecdotal story incoming

My sister (40) made the choice that she would never punish her own kids with smacking etc

Her eldest is a druggy loser who calls her every name under the sun, smashes her house up, threatens to hit/stab her when he's angry. She called the police once and they said they can't help.

He's 16....

You know, I can't help not think you are saying this due to the "Should future employers be warned you ware found not guilty in a rape trial??" topic. An topic that I haven't made any comments in.

At school, we got stripes on our ass, a maximum of six, in an area not likely to cause long term damage. Now it would lead to serious charges for assault.
