Gary Speed Dead

Presume goals on Sunday on SS1 must be recorded they've got Kammy and Vinnie Jones on it today both of them played with Gary Speed don't think they've mentioned it or they haven't been told.
 
What a nightmare, he seemed to be turning things round for the national team and was starting to build a reputation for himself as a manager :(

I think I'm right in saying until Ryan Giggs 'surpassed' him a couple of years back he was one a very select few to have scored in every season of the Premiership.

Always struck me as being a very honest guy who would call things as he saw them and give credit where due, I remember Bobby Robson (RIP too) did a postmatch interview once where he said "Gary Speed has just come off the pitch and said Vieira is the best player he's ever played against".

Yep, he kept it up until he retired.

Has it been confirmed it was suicide? Only things I can find are confirmation of no suspicious circumstance.

One of the nice guys of football in my eyes, post playing anyway (don't really know about his playing days). Very sad at 42.
 
An utter gentleman, and a hell of a professional. It's hard to believe someone who had such a life, and seemed to be carving out a great squad for wales felt that they couldn't carry on.

Sprinting into the box late and getting the perfect header into the back of the net, that's how us geordies will remember you lad. RIP.
