I am concerned as to what they have done with the arcade mechanics of the original which made it quick/fast paced.

On a personal level, I do not like the colour palette of the new version.

+1 on the colour palette it looks terrible the original was colourful not sure why they have sucked the life out of the colour

I have to agree, which is a shame.

Torchlight has similar environments and that stayed colourful, infact, I will stick with Torchlight (2)

Yep I know its a letdown I am old enough to have bought & enojoyed the original in 1985 on Atari ST so feel even more letdown with those new palette choices

Its awesome, just managed 5min co-op before movie time

Can see this being quite fun after a few beers or a nice claret

This game is amazing

It's like gauntlet but with diablo3 graphics + magicka spells + rpg upgrades

Also it's actually challenging on hard

Still has a announcer "elf shot the food" and "elf needs food .. badly" etc

Just played the tutorial, about to jump in to game. liking it so far. The Elf seems crap, which matches up to the old days IIRC
