Gauntlet Remake

Elf is my favourite so far

I didn't even realise the time, played it for 2 hours, have foil trading cards already :)

Has anyone looked at the digital comic?

Purchased this last night, Can anyone tell me how you play local co op as the only way i could get this to work was join a quick game. I only want to play SP local co op with mates. Am i missing something?

When i chose start game i presumed its SP co op however i had no option to add any other players even though we had 4 x controllers plugged in.

just spent a couple of hours with the elf, thoroughly enjoying the game, can see a lot of hours going into this game.

Add me on steam if you fancy some co-op

I can't find an option to edit the controls. Or am I being blind?
Glad it wasn't just me who wanted to do this (5mins in playing as wizard + valkyrie)

Some of the controls feel weird, the valkyrie shield block could easily be a button as you already have directional control from left stick :(

Wizard controls just feel awkward to me :( fumbling over buttons all the time while running from hordes of re-spawning zombies (it is funny but makes you a liability for the team)

Lack of time I suspect - they put the release back by a week or two at the last minute to make finishing touches.

Suspect the key remap itself is easy enough, but the related tool-tips might take a bit longer.

On a brighter note, I can report thoroughly enjoying the 1.5 hours or so I played yesterday. Only tried Valkyrie, outside the tutorial, and mainly played online co-op (after a quick solo tune-up).

I topped the kills and gold stats in all the games I played. Suspect Valkyrie is easier to get on top of than Elf or Wizard (and Warrior was not being all that well used in the games I played). Didn't use the shield block at all, and standard attack was used rarely (relying on dash attack and shield throw).

Wizard certainly looks to be more complex - learning which spells to use when, and implementing whilst staying out of danger looks challenging. I didn't like Elf's control setup in the tutorial: might need to have a bit of practice at that.

Will probably try a different class next play (hopefully tonight)

I did find myself losing my valkyrie in the hectic battles from time to time, particularly when getting a bit spammy on the dash attack, as it moves you around fairly quick. Wouldn't mind an option to add a location beacon to the character, or maybe a bit of a brighter blue highlight. Battles were awesome, though, when all four characters were going berserk - really good fun :)

Despite favouring Valkyrie, I've not used the shield block. But I guess the advantage of the twin-stick setup for that is that you can block whilst moving, and continue to move whilst changing block direction.

I haven't noticed an obvious use for blocking yet, though.
