The BBC is known to be a very woke organisation with a high level of left leaning employees. People have been seeking their news from elsewhere than the BBC long before this GB News channel came along for this reason. The world the BBC portrays is not real, it's through the eyes of the left so is left biased, lacking the full picture. Even if they report immigration issues as one example it doesn't mean they will give it as much air time as a non left biased channel. By that virtue they are deciding on the importance of such issue and thereby influencing their viewers to that level of priority too.

As someone born in England I see nothing wrong with a channel representing the majority of the nation.

And this is the fallacy... Black people, gay people and trans people are actively discriminated against, to varying degrees in pretty much all countries.
Being sympathetic to that and whilst maybe not being black or gay etc. And trying to bring about a more level playing field is not being morally superior, it's simply trying to be a better human being so that we can all enjoy the same level of respect.
