Without knowing him, from his kit and my understanding he is into sound. Much more fashionable high end kit to go for but nothing that has quite the sound, or so I have been told.

I will stick to my bargain basement HiFi seps, then raid Spie's bins when he upgrades.

What has been this big problem with GD anyway? As someone who rarely reads it, I can't see how it's really changed all that much recently. It's always been a mix of spammy nonsense, irreverance, and the occasional interesting thread.

If (as I seem to be guessing from reading here) it's for insults and the like being thrown about, maybe some people simply need to learn to be thicker-skinned about things? Some of the best threads come from arguments between two people that are mature enough to not fly off the handle from a few harsh words. There's an admittedly fine line between trolling a thread, and actually being able to back up a strongly-worded first post, but I'm not sure clamping down on any and all disagreements is the way to go.

Also, if I could nominate anything to be stamped out, it's people posting "!!!!!11one" like that's still funny/relevant/masterfully ironic after about 5 years of it. Just say no kids.

I myself feel that the problem with GD is caused by the fact that nearly all the regulars know how to post borderlining rule breaking, in a way that's witty and fun. Sure it's a good laugh, but when you have so many posts teetering on the edge of having to be looked at it begins to become a problem.

I think GD just needs a little more harsh moderating and a new very active UB. Having to close it again would be a shame.

Nah i disagree, what it needs is more ElRazurs, Plenty Zefans, Less Gimps, A bit of Gillys, Occasional Zips and a hint of Megzys
