Marshall JCM2000TSL 100w Head and a Laney 4x12 with Celestion Vintage 30's

I will take some pics of my gear tomorrow and post them up here.

I've been playing off and on since I was 13, I really need to start playing again, as I haven't picked up any of my instruments for about a year now, so I will be getting really rusty!!!

Here is a vid I made ages ago of me improvising over a backing track I wrote.

Nothing special, just me goofing around really!

@Gustov, love the PG riffage mate!!!

::edit::

Dude, Paul Gilbert signed your axe?!?!

When did you meet him?!?!?!

Here's some pics of my gear.

Tokai LS85Q, I actually was all set on buying a Gibson Les Paul Standard, but when I went into the store I spotted this axe on the wall, so I tested it side by side with the Gibson and preferred the feel of this one, and it was quite a bit cheaper to, the Gibson was £1299 and this one was £899.

Ibanez RG7420, I still need to finish the sanding process, as the original Magenta Crush finish can still be seen in the pickup routes!

My trusty Line6 POD X3 Live

And lastly a shot of all my guitars.

I really need to start playing them again, as they are sitting around collecting dust atm!

I've had my head since 2005, I love it to pieces.

The first time I tried it out, I instantly fell in love with it.

Really versatile amp I must say, I used to have the matching Marshall 4x12 angled cab, but when I moved out of the flat I was sharing with an old friend, I left it there, and the loser went and sold it!!!

Really love the tones your Orange amp has, nice vintage sound to it!!

Just started playing guitar and thought I'd post up my kit :)

The guitarist in my 2nd band has got both a Fender Twin Reverb and a Marshall TSL602 and when he stands in for my 1st band he uses my AVT150 with no deterioration in quality.
You may say that perhaps he doesn't have his valve amps set up properly but I assure you when he's in his Stevie Ray Vaughan/Jimi Hendrix tribute band he sounds awesome.

The writers of GUITARIST magazine also reckon that the tone difference between valve & electronic is negligible now.
And let's not forget that if an AVT150 sounds crap then it's how it was setup.

I just find the distortion channel far too "dark" for my liking. I think the dirt channel is very thin and the effects are of a rather poor quality.

Nitefly - tone snob? Perhaps, but I used one for a good two years and the other guitarist in my band uses one and I really don't think it's a good amp at all. The tone is just not for me.

The clean channel is pretty decent, probably better than the clean channel in the JCM200 DSL201 I use at home.

Decided I need a Les Paul this weekend, and as I was in Brighton seeing the Mrs I just had to take a trip to GAK!

Came home with this beauty -

It's a Gibson Les Paul Studio Raw Power, sounds lovely and has the classic Gibson 57 Pickups in - can't wait to get it through my Marshall when I'm home in two weeks!

Do you really think you will want to pick that up in 10 years time and still be in love with it?

A shot of my Ibanez GB100 George Benson guitar. Made in 1990, one of the first batch and as such, is signed by Benson himself! I still get sexually excited every time I look at the thing. :D

I think I'll take all of the family outside at some point and post some high quality pics of the lot! The GB100, Taylor 214, Maton EBG808TE (Tommy Emmanuel ;)) and a Variax 600. I have a few other guitars, but those are my main beauts.

That's the most unusual looking Les Paul I've ever seen!

Yup - new range for 2009.

Looks like a fender neck that maple.

Not Gibson at all!

How much was it?

I got it for £730, haggled down from £899 in GAK yesterday. I know it looks different but I like it, it sounds nice and is nice to play.

Maybe I will, I may never be in love with an instrument but will still always play it.

The negative comments come as a surprise, perhaps it's not to everyone's taste - something that doesn't affect me in all honesty.

More info can be found here - http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Studio-Raw-Power.aspx
