Im excited!
The guitarist in my 2nd band has got both a Fender Twin Reverb and a Marshall TSL602 and when he stands in for my 1st band he uses my AVT150 with no deterioration in quality.
You may say that perhaps he doesn't have his valve amps set up properly but I assure you when he's in his Stevie Ray Vaughan/Jimi Hendrix tribute band he sounds awesome.
The writers of GUITARIST magazine also reckon that the tone difference between valve & electronic is negligible now.
And let's not forget that if an AVT150 sounds crap then it's how it was setup.
It's a Gibson Les Paul Studio Raw Power, sounds lovely and has the classic Gibson 57 Pickups in - can't wait to get it through my Marshall when I'm home in two weeks!
That's the most unusual looking Les Paul I've ever seen!
Looks like a fender neck that maple.
Not Gibson at all!
How much was it?
Do you really think you will want to pick that up in 10 years time and still be in love with it?
I got it for £730, haggled down from £899 in GAK yesterday. I know it looks different but I like it, it sounds nice and is nice to play.
Thats all that matters mate.
I had the same responces about my Les Paul Zebrawood
