What's a good product to get the gold hardware on my epiphone les paul custom sparkling again?

Mmmmm I'd bloody love to have a Les Paul.
So expensive though. I mean I know I spent a fortune on my Strat... but I was actually planning on getting a Les Paul as I already have a Strat.
Saw the Mary Kaye, fell in love, no Les Paul.

Still, I have to buy a valve amp soon, looking at the Blackstar HT-20... then hopefully a Les Paul at a later date.

Loving the Les Paul's guys! Sexy guitars.

A norlin is it? looks like an old styley custom. If so you have changed the nobs on there from the black reflectors... sweet though I must get a custom, but i want an 58 RI next.

No flies on you :)
The bloke I had it off said he'd changed the knobs, not as if I would have known.

My n00b setup:

(better pics of guitar a couple pages back).

Had the amp a few weeks now but can't comment on how good it is thanks to A, not being able to really play anything yet and B, my guitar needing a decent set up as the trems at a retarded angle and everything sounds rather naff. It's very off putting and makes practising infuriating. Finding someone local who can sort it out isn't getting very far.

Is that a floating trem? if so, just adust the screws in the back and retune the strings to were you want to be. Or just lower the bridge way down and enjoy.

It's about time I chimed in. Apologies as it's taken with my iPhone in crappy light levels.

Tempted to move to an open setup - moving the high over to the right and the reverse the tom rotations. I'm a bit messed up when it comes to left and right handedness as I write right handed, use a mouse left handed, drum right handed but sometimes end up playing left handed.

Luuuusssshhhhh.... How much did you pay for that Nick?

Enough (1-2K in total) but it should last me years, although I have been eyeing up the higher end modules so in another few years I may look at getting a secondhand TD12 or 20 module and running a 'proper' hihat VH11/12.

An open-handed set up for a right-handed drummer will not change, just the ride cymbal will move over to the left. The idea with open-handed setups is that you play left-handed, on a right-handed drum kit - this opens up your hands so you're not cross-sticked. The way you described would be playing open-handed, as a left-handed drummer, i.e. playing the hi-hat with the right hand.

I'm a little similar to you - I'm generally right-handed, but I play the drums left-handed as I learnt by watching my stepbrother play who is left-handed. I play a right-handed kit open-handed too, people always think it looks a little odd! :)

I saw the TD-12's were down to about £1750 a few weeks ago on DV247 and the like - really cheap! I think they were clearing out old stock because of the newer models coming out.

It looks like it was worth it. I had a go on an electric kit with membrane pads for the first time, a few months ago, and I was absolutely blown away by how well it played (even better than my Ludwig acoustic kit :p).

A couple more recent pics of my newly acquired Baritone Sax now I've started gigging with it...

Firstly during a soundcheck at Skeggy:

Superewza...
Did you make that Tele? Is that Pine also?
Moar piccy's!!!

Haha, i wish. Might want to read what i posted with it. But no, i do plan on making a 'leccy guitar at some point, probably highly influenced by that one. I'll keep you posted. As it stands i'm learning on a poorly looked after (sharpied over chip) Ibanez GAX 70, without an amp for the moment. Making one over the next few weeks (15W Solid State thing, nice little project though).

If you're interested in that though:
