Gear Thread - Pics

So I had a replica of Paul Gilbert's Ibanez Fireman made by Jaden Rose.

Here is what Paul's looks like

That's a pretty chunky neck joint...

Looks pretty faithful to the original though. :) Dare I ask how much?

And while I have your attention: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=15858222&postcount=953

Gustov - I'm assuming this rig is in your house somewhere? How loud is it?

I was thinking about getting a mesa boogie head with a 2x12 cab, but was worried whether it'd be overkill in my flat.

Even my 5W Blackstar is VERY loud at full volume - doesn't mean you have to turn it all the way up though. :)

Hi Dingle

Sure, £1700, The guitar is built exactly the same as Paul's, the neck is very very thick.

The Orange 2x12 is the best cab I've ever played through. I've played through Marshall, Mesa, Blackstar and ENGL cabs.

Yes it's my bedroom rig but I play it at reasonably loud volumes tbh. I've played the HT-5 and whilst it's fantastic my JVM does sound significantly better, so I feel as if my amp is justified.

You could always buy an attenuator to get high-volume saturated tone without being so loud, even low-wattage tube amps like the HT-5 will be too loud to turn up high in your house. I'm considering getting one to use with my Carvin Legacy 2 because it's much too loud hehe :) Actually I should get some pics of that up here too.

Loving the all the PG gear by the way, especially that Fireman replica.

I had an attenuator before (THD Hotplate) and it made my tone sound like death, I'm the happiest I've ever been with my tone atm :)

Thanks for the compliment on the PG gear.

Yeah I've heard bad things about the Hotplate before. There are better ones around though, I've been looking into getting either a Weber Mass or Dr Z Air Brake, both are meant to be very good. My only problem is I'd like to try before I buy and that's going to be impossible :(

I've posed these before I think, but the 3rd party image host went pop so here we go again.

I don't know where it fits in in the grand scheme of things as it was given to me. All I do know it is an Ibanez Blazer 1995 reissue (BL300TBL)

Hey Jabbs ive got Guitar rig 4 too, how do you plug into it? I use stealth plug but its a bit of a pain, as i want it to come through my pc speakers. I can hook up through an old roland cube 30x, it sounds not too bad. is that your youtube video? or someone elses? i like the whole lot of love tone. Pity it wernt a bit more high res, so i could see the settings. sweet though.

looks just like my Gibson C.A. but mine has headstock binding and holy inlay. I have completely removed the electrics in mine and now it has Bumble bee caps and RS super pots/CTS believe me it sounds awesome now. Get a nice tube amp.. lovely.
