hopefully i'll get a chance to pick it up today before work and give you all some pics and low down. :)

Sorry your having to sell your LP Woody, maybes in the future you can pick up a nice faded one, going cheap. They are quality.

This thing has to be heard to be believed, honest you got to try one out, they are lovely.

Ps that Gumtree worked very well for me in the end, thanks all who reccomended, saved me from the robbing bay. :-)

Hey

I sold my JVM and got a HT-20 head.

Have to say I'm disappointed with it! Main reason being is that it just doesn't scream, the amp sounds too compressed for me! It has excellent cleans and crunch tones though :)

Replacing it with a Marshall DSL50 head.

You go through amps faster than I change my boxers! :p Well, maybe...

Do you actually try them first or just buy one and hope for the best?

And speaking of buying blind (sort of, I've read lots of reviews and trawled YouTube), I bought myself a reverb this morning:

Should arrive tomorrow. :)

finally got myself a new amp, Peavey Vypyr 30, its a modelling amp but definatly aimed at the metal/heavy rock market and im very impressed with the quality of it.

Accompanied by my Shamray CS1985

The HT40 screams and then some.. it also does crunch and lovely clean and i love the reverb. Well happy with it.

My Dads EKO Ranger 6. From the 70s a think but I'm enjoying a break from my Blazer. Still learning slowly!

Nice.

I had an EKO and regret selling it.

From what I remember my dad sold it to a shop and bought the exact same guitar back many years later. I'll have to ask him when he gets back from sailing. Tis a nice guitar, little bits of damage here and there but it sounds great.

Is that tailpiece drawn on?

It's an Inlay.
But the guitar is from the mid 70's and has been refinished in black so they painted around the inlay, very very small bits of the original sunburst can be seen around the edges on close inspection.

Look up the Ibanez Custom Agent or Antoria Memphis 74 Custom.
They were the same guitar but one branded Ibanez for the domestic japanese markets, and the exported ones were labelled Antoria.

GTanny that guitar is beautiful. How much does those things cost?

Cheers Scott, mine cost £1700 when i ordered it in 2005, when the conversion was $1.8 to the £ so was just over $3000, i had a very high budget for the top wood and the inlays cost a fair whack but you would be able to get a more basic looking guitar custom made from them for around £1000 (still seems a lot but its somthing ill never sell and would reccomend it to anyone who has the cash)

if you wanna get a quote just google 'guitar custom shop' they should be top of the search and they have a quote maker.
