Well then, looks like all the money I get from now will be going on cymbals! :p

I was wondering, when I can afford something I want a crash, the ride doesn't sound right when used as a crash (duh :p) - any recommendations of good but not too expensive crashes?

I'd say anything from the cheaper lines of the Big Three. Sabians B8 series, Paistes' PST series and Zildjians ZHT/ZBT/ZXT series all have affordable crash cymbals. Most of them are under £100 i think for the 16" size of crash.

Hi everyone,

I have recently decided to try and learn how to play guitar and so been looking through this thread and i must say you all have to beautiful looking gear.

Anyway i've been looking for my first guitar purchase and found a Yamaha Pacifica electric guitar which i think i saw recommended in another thread but was just looking for some opinions on what i should be looking for and any other recommendations you may have. The guitar also comes with a Fender 15g amp.

Thanks for you help in advance.

Not sure about the amp but I have a pacifica. Was my first guitar and still use it 15 years later. Do it!

Need more details - age, condition etc.

OK well age don't know the person selling it states it bought and never really played as he didn't end up learning to play.

Condition I would say is very good, although I haven't seen it in real life just pictures.

I'll find out more and edit this...

From the seller
The Yamaha Pacifica in Sunburst looks stunning. It is in new condition, supplied in a hard case. Their is not a mark to the guitar, can't guarantee it's in tune though. Purchased some time ago to learn to play, it's never happened, I invested the money but not the time. So now to move it on and reinvest the money in new hobbies.

Loving the one on the right. Why two though?

I was gigging one night and broke a string halfway through the first set so had to pick my Gibson Les Paul up and it felt like a toy.
A couple of weeks later I did the same thing and picked up my Yamaha SG2000 and that felt like a toy compared to the Tyler so I sold both of them and bought a spare.
