Geek Pet Hates.

Numerous family members - "What are you studying?"

Me - "Computing..."

Numerous family member - "ohh so I'll call you if something happens to my pc"

I've had so many say that to me, I'm dreading the day! Every single person has said it word for word to me. :\

I have a very similar problem, I study Law though so it's always "If I need a lwayer hahahaha"

Mostly the things people have already mention liked cluttered desktops, but one thing that annoys me on these forums is the amount of posts about intel speed step, people posting about why there cpu speed is lower than expected when they use cpu-z, and the advice given is to disable it in bios and then they are like "k, cheers that fixed it". When really it's not a problem and should really be left on unless they have some overclocking issues, it's good having it on as it saves power, makes the PC when quieter and cooler with no compromise of speed as it ups the multiplier under load.

Indeed, PC's would imply something belongs to the PC.

"That is the PC's keyboard."

For pluralisation you have no apostrophe, "Those are my PCs," or "People keep asking me to fix their PCs."

Apostrophes are often acceptable if you're pluralising a number or acronym.

Geek hate - Desktop Icons.

**** me right off, I will just delete them from people's desktops.

Someone at my college hated desktop icons, so we used to screenshot a full desktop of icons and set it as his background and watch him nerdrage :D

instead of Ctrl C and Ctrl V. i for some reason cant understand why any one doesnt know how to use this.

Tab, why do people insist on using the mouse instead
