Who's saying the 6990 isn't hot and loud? We all know both that and the 480 are quite hot and loud. You could argue it's worse for the based on its performance, but they're still hot and noisy cards.

Best not to rise to the bait, he can't seem to understand the idea THAT HE MAY JUST SLIGHTLY ONLY BE A MINUSCULE TAD IN THE WRONG, EVER.

Now I'm not a fanboy either way, I might even be skipping this generation, I just like having the most powerful option for my budget, and so far apart from ATi's SHODDY drivers you can't get much better than what I have :D

£515 is not that bad at all...i would pay that
6990 is a spicy meatball of a card and as i have said previous i would put it under water from day one and clock it so i think thats decent ish value....below £499 would be better....5970 was this price when they came out and i bought mine for £450
