Geforce GTX 780, 770 coming in May

Someone uploaded the 770 bios,

It looks real but there is the possibility it may have been tampered with before upload but websites are reporting it as legit.

GPU code, Revision, Device, Sub vendor..... all identical, everything other than the BIOS and adjustable clocks are the same.

And Transistor count, strangely the apparent GTX 770 reads as having 40M more....

That must be an error, or there is something different, but not seen, yet its the same DIE code and revision, even the release date is the same. WT...

If its what it looks like Nvidia must have come to believe their users are stupid.

You know what, with the Titan pricing and now a whole gen rebranded (Except the 780), if Nvidia do fleece us with the prices on 7 series, I think I'll only buy AMD from now on. At least as long as AMD are being competitive, otherwise used GPU's may be the way forward. The prices of GPU's has gone full retard.

Nvidia may surprise us though and offer decent prices, just have to wait a lil longer..

Be it as it may... kick up a #### storm, AMD have got their well deserved share of that, and are perhaps the better for it now.

Maybe its Nvidia's turn?

Yes seems crazy that after 18 months the 770 is only going to be a little bit faster than the 670.

With such low increase in performance it seems like nvidia want the 770 to be a mid-range card of next gen and still charge £350.

but that screen shot is of a 680, it has just been flashed with the 770 bios.
their is no telling what other stats gpu z would report if it was a proper 770, but obviously the core count, clock and memory speeds look to be accurate.

Well spotted that the transistor count is different.

So where did they get the freaking BIOS from?

Lets have a screen shot from source.

I absolutely despise charts which do not start at 0 but instead start at some random number so that they can skew the results to make it look like there is a HUGE difference!

It is really unprofessional and when you actually read it properly you can see that the MASSIVE difference's that the chart first implies is nothing more then a few percent. (Obviously more in some case's)

As everyone know's the new 770'S are pretty much copies of the 680's with a better cooler and slightly updated board so it makes sense that they will preform at the same level as the 680's, i for one am waiting patiently for the gtx 780's as they will be the ones with proper change's.

Here's a fun fact. Both the GTX 770 and GTX 780 will have to fall in BETWEEN GTX 680 and Titan in terms of performance. Personally, I think the results will be laughable. I totally don't understand why anyone would spend twice as much on a Titan as one would on 2xGTX 680s 4GB (US prices, I haven't looked over the situation in the UK, since prices are so volatile here).

Not really a fun fact as more of your opinion being passed off as a "Fun Fact"

As for not understanding why someone would buy a Titan instead of 2x4GB 680's, maybe you should try gaming at 5760 x 1080 or even higher on those 2 x 4GB 680's and then have a try at 3D at that resolution and then come and make those statements ;)

Totally agree. The other fun fact is that the 7970 is a much more attractive card these days. I think like allot of us I'll go for a second 680. It's going to be allot faster than a single Titan and hopefully not too expensive.
