I'm really surprised that the GTX 780 turned out to be that strong a competitor to GTX Titan... that makes my plans at going for GTX 670 4GB 3-way-SLi quite speculative... Maybe GTX 780 3GB SLi would be a better choice after all.

Paper launch tomorrow is my guess
Found a great deal on the 7950. Is it a big enough upgrade on the 480 for 1440p? Or should I wait for the new 7 series? I suspect nvidia price gouging though![]()
780 ain't gonna be cheap if it's priced based on performance, my guess of (8) in the price thread might be right after all![]()
I was already toying with the idea of getting a 7950, but since you guys have been talking about these great deals, it's got me trawling the net trying to find the best value!
What brand 7950's are you guys going for?
Just getting prepared for disappointment on pricing for the 780!
I went for 3 x Gigabyte Windforce 7950 3GB's. Nice warranty and games bundle. I expect those 3 to destroy the 780 and probably near enough the same price.
But we have voltage control - all .37v of it![]()

I want a lot more control than that, but I don't think the 780 will have *any* extra voltage controls if it's already THIS close to Titan. It would destroy a Titan with voltage control... I think I'll see what AMD bring to the table.
Agreed on the voltage.
As for how close to a Titan the 780 is, tomorrow will reveal all.
Nvidia has all but killed off overclocking![]()
