Seems like a backwards step when we already have GHz cards.
The first Core2 Duo's were half the speed of the Pentium D's they replaced, MHz isn't everything.

I'd like to see how 3 of those things perform. I'm planning on getting two and I think that's enough to own pretty much anything out there atm.
What's the cooling like when you crossfire those cards? I heard they were bad at crossfire cooling on some other forums.
Thanks!
Damn, deal on 7950's has run out now no more stock. Curse my indecision
Looks like wait and see what insane price nvidia are asking for their rebranded 680's then.
Expect more price drops from AMD soon, don't be surprised to see HD 7970's down to £275 and more 7950's at £199 and less...
AMD price drop the old 7XXX series before moving onto next gen cards. Nvidia decided to rebrand the old 6XX series and increase the price . Your decision on which is better value..

Two will be enough for any current games, the Windforce cards run very cool, they are triple fan coolers so the heat is dispelled into the case rather than out of the back, that might be where other people were getting heat build up, as long as your PC has intake and outake fans these will run much cooler than 'stock' air cooling, and the case fans will dump the heat out of the case.
At £200 7950 is easily best option right now, especially when you consider the game bundled as well.. Then in a year or so could pick up some cheap Nvidia 7XX cards or AMD's new cards as they will have been out a while and prices dropped. Might be the best approach to avoid launch price hikes..

Those are often just placeholder prices
yes add me on steam
This doesn't look good for any of us really.
Say they do release the 780 at £675, i can see AMD jacking their prices up for their next gen cards. Probably something like £600 for the 8970 or 9970 what ever it might be.

I make that £675 with VAT, why not eh? the GTX Titan sold by the masses @ £1'000
AMD don't have that kind of brand pull, if they did i'm sure they would.... though they might still try.
