Geforce GTX 780, 770 coming in May

Well just had a chat with a guy from a danish retail store that said they had retail prices for the GTX 780 now, and the only thing he could reveal was that the price for the GTX 780 would be more than 5000Dkk/£570 - he couldn't be any more specific before card launch.

That's makes my original plan at upgrading my GTX 670 2GB's to GTX 670 4GB's card very much alive.

Yeah I don't get your analogy, it's like comparing apples and oranges so I don't agree. We have single GPU cards that are GHz clocked already. Subsequent cards should build on this not go backwards. Just my opinion. I understand that the 780 compensates for this in other areas, but as an enthusiast, I don't want compensation, just obscene performance. :p

It doesn't work like that. Different architectures and different chips handle frequency differently.

People all over the internet on forums like this (though not this) need to stop the insane deluded Nvidia masturbation and utterly un called for AMD hating..... for this is the result of that.

But, but physx and er, er... no driver problems and erm, erm... because it's green!!!???

Hi guys i have been waiting since jan for the 700 series. I was initially going to buy 670 sli but though it would be worth the wait. This is my first gaming desktop so i am not upgrading from anything. I really hope the wait has been worth it. Do you think the price/performance increase for the 780 will be worth it. I plan on buying tomorrow if they are in stock.

You may be better off starting your own thread :)

As you may not receive the help you need/deserve in this thread

ROFL, that's an even bigger waste of money than upgrading to the new cards.

You could ask as to why instead of make a "ROFL".
It's because I need some more "horsepower" to run 5120x1440 resolution, and the VRAM just doesn't cut it at this res. I already got one Asus GTX 670 DirectCU II 4GB - just need to find two more 2nd hand and I'm good to go with minimal costs involved.

Yeah that's the point, the apple is more powerful than the orange, so doesn't need as many MHz to give the same or better performance.

How can you say that? I can't believe you just said that! Oranges are far more powerful than apples. Don't argue with me! They just are. And Oranges have better drivers than apples.

Your sig says who have 3. Who is lying ? You or your sig ?

No need to answer, I'm just messing with you. :p

Heheh fair enough m8 :D

None are lying ;) I have 3x Club 3D GTX 670 2GB cards in my main rig, and I have 1x Asus GTX 670 DirectCU II 4GB in my ITX machine. My idea is to get 2 more 4GB's. Sell two of the 2GB and use the remaining 2GB in the ITX machine since it's hooked up to a 1080p TV anyhow :)
