Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

Enlisted running on Vulkan with RTX global illumination

Ray tracing on 2080 Ti at 4K 90+ FPS!!!

Wow, first I've heard or seen anything of this game - looks impressive!

DLSS doesn't run the game at Native Resolution, it upscales, so those 6x games on the 2080 Vs 1080 Nvidia benchmark chart that are using it, or not running in 4k, their being upscaled to 4k.

It all comes down to IQ really and if it is noticeable. I see a vid showing DLSS on and off and they said it looked the same but one of them was an NVidia guy, so time will tell.

The lighting does look good but the graphics must be set to low as the textures and overall look are shocking. Played better looking games 10 or more years ago. You can see this even worse when he turns the normal lighting effect on. I also think to enhance what they are showing the lighting is as basic as can be with no effort to make the RTX effects look like night and day.

Interesting video, seems Nvidia have been even dodgier this launch I thought previously.

Up-scaling to 4K and gives 2 x boost, so basically it's not a proper 2 x boost at all. Damn that is sketchy. Nvidia getting extra shady thought this was not possible xD

Oh well I think the card will be OK. No way in hell it's worth it's asking price though.

Consoles got a bit of stick for not being true 4K so I wonder if this technique will get the same.

It's a neat idea though but may prove that Nvidia couldn't really improve on the 1080ti by the usual gains in previous upgrades.

Yeah, i went from 27" 2560x1440, to 35" 3440x1440 UW, and gamings so much better, could never go back to 16:9 now.

I find ultrawides weird to look at, had the asus 34x14 for a few days and compared to my 16:9 4k it was like looking at an elongated envelope.

They are being very cagey this time round , if they can not produce some very good performance numbers I can see a lot of the per orders are going to get cancelled.

So Nvidia are now using upscaling / checkerboard rendering from the PS4 Pro :D
