I'm very interested in the RT and dlss. I guess whilst the technique eats up silicone, there is always going to be a price shift. To me, it sounds similar to having two components in one. Instead of a seperate card for ray tracing, it is built in. I've always jumped on new tech, so in the days of physx cards i'd happily pay for a gpu and physx card. So when i look at the RT this way, it doesnt seem so expensive. I also understand that many will see this as being forced to buy something that may or may not (gamble) have good support going forwards. Fortunately i fall in the early adopter of new unknown tech, and my devil is kind of glad because it gives it a better chance for the future.
Between graphics and framerates i will always trade in fps for higher fidelity. I'd play crysis at 720p ultra 30fps over 1680x1050 50fps at medium/high. Tbh, i even played through sub 30 fps before any card upgrades. So, ill have no problem jumping from my 4k or 165hz gaming and play some 1080p with new graphics effects. I'm excited, but being an early adopter hits your pocket and ive learned to except this since my first voodoo 1
