Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

^^^This is not a laptop but a desktop replacement where the desktop graphics cards are put at very slightly lower frequencies and rebadged as "mobile". Nothing mobile, this draws at least 150W, maybe 200W.

I heard Anthem will be a great demo for DLSS and Raytracing.

Does anyone play Shadow of the Tomb Raider anymore?

How many games with DLSS are there? Just FF XV and that's just beta support right and only for 4K?

In a recent interview with Wccftech, Scylla Costa, one of Anthem's producers, stated that DLSS support would be coming to Anthem "shortly after launch", which means that Nvidia RTX 20 series GPU owners will need to wait a little longer before they get to use Turing's AI prowess to boost Anthem's performance.
In the same interview, Costa also stated that "ray tracing could be added (to Anthem) later", stating that Bioware "don't currently have anything to announce in this space".

Yup, just 1 & just 4K.

They even had the nerve to show a chart showing upto 2x gains for games that still don't have DLSS several months later.

Also looks like they realised that increasing the supposed list of games, when none have DLSS, wasn't a smart move. No update since September.

I'm disappointed with the direction they've gone with DLSS - they could have used it to do AA at quality similar to higher levels of MSAA without the performance hit rather than trying to do intelligent upscaling.

Tbh DLSS is no great loss (https://i.imgur.com/pzrHRO3.png). RT on the other hand, there definitely should've been more titles. Then again, it should've been obvious first adopters won't get much - they never do, besides bragging rights.

BFV with RT enabled vs BFV without RT enabled look like two completely different games to me... the difference is unreal!

When you play BFV with RT on, it does add big time to the game for me and makes RT worthwhile. A few more games and happy days I say.

Well if you couldn't run it at a smooth framerate man there's no hope for any of us!! :D

It runs well at 2560x1440 and 3440x1440... other than the usual DX12 hitching, which is annoying. So it's good enough for single player, but not for online play.

It's a shame SLI doesn't work in DX12... that would make a huge improvement... and it was the reason I bought 2x 2080ti... only discovered after trying that it doesn't work haha.
