Hopefully can make my mind up today on what will replace my HD6890 or whatever old tech it is.
I was responding to someone asking if nVidia was holding anything back. The answer is clearly "yes, a lot".Lol does it really matter if it's the largest actual core? Surely if the performance is where it needs to be it makes no difference whether it's a full core or cut down core.
But i still stand by my comment, if i have £1k currently to burn do i buy a 2080ti for my PC, or do i buy an Xbox One X, 4K TV, a years Sub to Gamepass, Xbox Gold, Netflix and a few games. Both options are probably going to give you a years worth of enjoyment anyhow.
You can, the input latency is the only issue though. If I could play console shooters with a mouse and keyboard I would totally buy one![]()

And yes, it does matter to anyone interested in technology beyond short-term "I want the fastest GPU right now" thinking.
Man. Respect for rocking that card still.
You'll be seeing a hell of a speed bump thats for sure.
They will appear because they are released as Titans and enterprise-grade cards.Despite the fact that it's always possible that "held back" full cores never actually appear (e.g. because of yield of such large parts).
