Never using dpd again

Obviously my parcel managed to fall outside compensation for damage.. Check the clause!

I say Just Eat is short for “Just get off your backside you lazy sod and visit a shop or takeaway if you want something to drink or Eat”

You do know that takeaways and pizza places have delivered to home for far longer than Just Eat has been around - right?

I'm having a right laugh with Evri and Amazon right now, oh the joys of marketplace sellers on Amazon. I bought something, parts were missing and damaged, so I contacted the marketplace seller who only provided me with a Evri returns label after Amazon opened an A-Z case. The item was collected by Evri on the 20th and has been at the delivery depot ever since.

Amazon won't entertain refunds until 14 days have elapsed, as they have to give the seller a chance to refund me first. In the meantime my parcel seems to be sitting in a dark corner somewhere, delaying my refund.

Contacting Evri is a right chore. Their phone lines are automated, with no intention of connecting you to anybody. Their live chat gives the option to leave your email address or phone number, with no contact so far.

GF has a funny story to share regarding Evri and items "sitting" at depot.

She ordered a kid's trampoline as a present from a seller in Amazon - that was supposed to be delivered by Evri... as you've probably guessed it, nothing turned up and eventually the seller refunded the money.

Fast forward more than 2 months, and one day that Evri deliver that trampoline...
I guess found it lying around the corner of the depot/warehouse

Yodel looking like it's on the edge of collapse. 10k employees, never made a profit until covid, and previous debt was repaid by current owners of some sort. Now again in debt, but investors hovering around it.

Courier operator Shift acquired Yodel.

Parcelforce

Just had a package interruption on tracking for a damaged parcel I've sent to a buyer.

Managed to get HD of a person at CS and they got the depot to call me back

To my surprise they did call me back and told me it had gotten wet. But it's been checked for damage, repacked and will be delivered next day.

Much better than scum DPD who I'll never use again who looked wouldn't pay out for damage and looked like had a foot through the parcel.

Has anyone ever used DX? Was supposed to have had something delivered today, but they seem to have delivered it to the wrong street, no photo of the attempted delivery (what courier doesn't take photos of the attempted delivery!?!) - at least we could have pointed out that that is not our front door.

Their support were typically beyond useless.

At least Evri can deliver to the correct address.

no photo? even royal mail take door photos these days it seems

go on google maps and an search your house number/street see where the dot is.

if its in the wrong place you can send in a correction somehow, I can't remember how you do it , just google.

I updated the one for my house number and also requested the postcode dot was moved.
had a lot less problems with deliveries since, I think the systems they use just get location data from google maps or apple maps.
if the dots in the wrong place then they struggle to find you.
